Marshall MS-2 Reviews
Great Amp
Great amp for it's size but definitely not the price
impressive volume from such a small amp
the tone adjustments on it is great
definitely great for someone who just wants to play in their bedroom to themselves
looks good that's about it.....
this is not amp its just a toy the produce awful sound anything above 9 o clock sound like farts OD is just more fart noises don't give this as gift it will be the worst gift but cute decoration next to Marshall big amps its better to buy katana mini or blackstar fly if you heard someone saying it sound good or not bad Probably getting payed to say this by marshall
Nive price for the kind of amplifier
The sound is cheap, as the money you spend on it, is very useful essential for travel or something like that, or as a backup amplifier.
Makes its job, but could be better
This small amplifier is good to carry around, but the sound quality could be better, and the output gives me a delay. Might be good if you use it on the quite settings, but when you turn the volume up you get the cracking sounds, like you have put overdrive even if you didn't.
Funny amp
I bought this for my nephew, with the cheapest Jackson RR mini, he is 6, and I was blown away by the sound when everything is full on. Any quieting down is bad sounding, but full on, man, with this mini Jackson, you can get a true bedroom RR sound. Don't believe it will survive in his hands for very long but for a total beginner, it's a banger. His dad is a metalhead, so he also likes Randy, Vai and that type of sound.
A novelty...not much more
I got these amps simply to "collect them all" with the different colour variations.
As an amplifier, only use the clean channel, as it sounds good for amplifying acoustic/clean guitar sounds. It also handles footpedals with ease for modulation and reverb effects. But...the "OD" channel (overdrive) is utterly terrible.
It's a great tiny, battery-powered amp for sitting around a campfire and singing songs together, but it's not a good practice amp and certainly not good at creating anything needing distortion.
The price is cheap, so you can get one just to say,"I have a Marshall" and that's about it.
great
small and do the job
Great mini amp
This is a great little amp for anyone, good for while you are out with friends or just at home. packs a lot of punch for a little thing. The down side is it only has minimal features but good for the price.
This is a marshall amp, what could be wrong hahaha. I love the this amp. You can shredd your guitar without disturbing your neighbors. Great sound for a micro amp specially when you switch to overdrive!
Good for quiet practice
Good for taking places and practicing where you might not be able to play loud music. It doesn't have a fantastic sound, but still great for practicing. quality varies a bit, since the clean sounds pretty good, while the overdrive sounds a bit too crunchy if you don't set the tone right.
Amazing AMP for an amazing price!
Bought it as my 1st AMP for my guitar, and it works great, its small with a really good sound quality, its very well made and weights nothing.
A toy, nothing more
Got this as a toy, and that's what it is. Sounds quite bad, but it does clean and OD tunes (kinda..) works well with 9V battery, plenty of shreeding hours on the move.
It does look and feels fragile... so don't break it. It's kinda expensive for a useless toy.
Fun piece of Equipment
Sure, the sound quality is not great, but what else would you expect for 26 euro? Fun to play with, portable, does everything I expected it to do. Good product.
Amazing little amp
Quite an amazing sound for so little money. Quite loud - more than enough for practicing. Sturdy plastic case. Reasonable battery life - depends upon volume.
Babobabooo
Its a one watt amp aint a miracle.
Great, portable amp
If you are looking for an amp to carry around, or as i do, play downstairs when the kids are asleep, these are great.
Clean tones are a little muddy, but for the price/size, its very worthy of your money.
I imagine they work well for buskers, or playing in the garden etc.
very cool, very portable and easy to store.
Great amp for travelling & quiet practice!
I bought this amplifier to take along with me when I went on a vacation for a month, and it does not disappoint. It's tiny, but loud enough for a jam or a practice session, and thanks to the built in headphone jack, you're able to practice quietly without disturbing your friends & family, or, if you're so inclined, you can plug it into the PA at a gig.
It has 2 settings : Clean & Overdrive. The clean is quite crunchy and the overdrive is very gain-y. Obviously you can't compare it to a Marshall tube amp, but it gets the job done and fits in your backpack.
I'd definitely recommend this to anyone, even if it's just for decoration :P.
Definitely worth it.
It has a nice marshall tone while being tiny enough to bring with you anywhere.
great fun, and so handy
I bought this to have in my case when travelling, and it's ideal for practicing in hotel rooms etc. It obviously doesn't sound like a Marshall, or any other kind of full sized amp, but is perfect if you want a little more than just the acoustic sound of the strings. I've also used this for recording rough demos/song ideas quickly.
Very useful!!
nice to play at home, bu don't expect a great sound
The mini amp MS-2 is a nice toy to play or practice at home. Or maybe even play at a park or beach, since it's very easy to take it with you wherever you go.
On the other hand, do not expect it to sound great. If you want to have a nice kind of "practice amp", to play with headphones, with more effects and better sound, take a look at the VOX amPlug AC30.
The finishing is really good and it makes also a very nice home decoration when you are not playing.
