Great Starting Darbuka

I bought this darbouka for start to learn it. The price is a good compromise and the material is great. You can handle it everywhere as it is really light. The sound looks great to me. The bag is not strong at all, if you are thinking to carry this doumbek around, I warmly suggest you to buy a separate bag.

Great Product, Price and Replacement Heads

I love these drums!

The replacement heads are cheap and easy to replace (check out my review of the heads for a full description about how to replace them and how to protect your drum from damage before, during and after the process).

I particularly like this aluminium model because of the of the finish. Many of the other models available have a thin synthetic or wooden coating that quickly shows wear and tear, but are essentially the same aluminium instrument underneath.

Meinl have thought of everything. The Meinl Profi Doumbek bags are similarly high quality, cushioned, provide a snug protective fit and have a compartment for allen keys or other small personal items. Grab one now - you won't regret it!

Excellent sound and works in the rain !!!

I bough this to use in wet conditions and it has surpassed my expectations. Very loud when wanted with a full deep bass and clear sharp slaps and tones. Works perfectly even in pouring rain (important for UK Summer Solstice celebrations !). Love the hammered finish and it comes with a spare skin and an unpadded bag. Original skin still fine after 18 months!! Quality from Meinl once again...
