Solid drum set addition

A nicely made instrument with a very satisfying bass tone to open stokes. I am using this pandeiro as a drum set add-on for more 'traditional' samba/bossa playing. It mounts quite well just over the snare drum on an LP Claw. I am using, mainly, brushes to try and achieve a similar hand-played aesthetic as the brazilian percussionists and this works well. The instrument is quite heavy, so I wouldn't recommend buying for doubling its use to hand-held. The nature of the size of the shell makes the fittings all quite small and delicate looking, but we'll see how these last lover time. Sound-wise, I like it, but there's not much space for the jingles to move, so the timbre is very much characterised by the head/stick or brush sound - I would like to hear more from the jingles.
