a utility solution for those with many synths

It is simple but effective

It is simple unit without needing external power you can directly use it to send multiple midi messages to your gear.

It feels simple and cheap and I think it can be much more cheaper than this price.

If you need to send midi to your outboard gear it is a good start. Overall happy with the product but now happy with the price

A real problem solver

Does what's expected from a utility box like this, and does it admirably.

The fact that it's powered by the MIDI signal, and does not require external power is a lifesaver and prevents further cable spaghetti. Be sure to check the manufacturer's website for power from MIDI compatibility.

Excellent splitter

I have two of these, and they are key to my MIDI setup. Lightweight enough to hang freely off the equipment, sturdy enough to withstand being knocked around. Not having to host yet another power supply is great – it might not work with every synth out there, but I've had no issues with the equipment I've used.

Oh, this box! I love it. The best feature is that it's fully powered by MIDI cable. Any need for another annoying DC power supply.

Splits midi 4 ways from my keystep pro. Does it perfectly. Make sure to check compatibility if you're going to buy, especially if you have older gear, it may not support the power needed via midi.

But it's super convenient, and a good price. I cannot fault it.

I originally had this connected to my Focusrite 18i20 but it failed to work because there wasn't enough power

Routed my MIDI out into a Lexicon MX400 MIDI input and connected the Quadra Thru to the Lexicons Thru output and it works!

It would have been nice if there was a battery bay to power the unit for situations where you can't power it over midi but honestly most times this isn't an issue

Does the job

Doesnt need external power which is always a bonus. Build quality is ok but would be better if it were made of metal rather than plastic. Bought it to replace a 20 year old Phillip Rees box which did exactly the same job before it packed up. Its better build quality than that unit but at a far higher price. A lot of cheaper synths have no midi thru and for me its an essential. For example synching/driving 3 moog mother 32 units from a DAW is a bit of a pain without one of these.

Didn't do too much of sophisticated testing. But it works. It is nice it doesnt require any extra power and just works. Usually sending one cable in with midi clock from my Octatrack and then sending it out with multiple cables to sync tempo with my synthesizers and with my delay pedals... Nice quality of the product. I like it.

Quadra Thru V2

Works fine with 4 external synths to my akai mpc live.

Does what it's made for

With this price I was prepared to have some compatibility issues or occasional data drops but this works flawlessly. Build quality is sturdy enough and I haven't had any issues during several months in daily use in home studio with occasional re-routing and disconnecting cables.

For this price I highly recommend this as long as your gear has MIDI connection that can power this.

I got the MIDI Solutions Quadra Thru V2 to trigger multiple synthesizers I have via my midi keyboard controller ; when i first tested it, I was quite satisfied with how straight forward it was to use as you would expect from a gadget like that and directly thought that it would definitely help any keyboard or synth player on stage or in the studio to trigger multiple synths from a single controller (particularly useful for sound design and when composing for film and TV)

The feel of it is not the heaviest ; but again for the price of it, it's perfect and does the job well!

I definitely recommend it for anyone in need to "distribute" midi signal.

Does the job

I bought this to use as part of my guitar pedalboard MIDI setup, to let me split the signal to go to an Electro Harmonix Hog 2 (which has no MIDI out port) while still being able to create a MIDI loop for my RJM Mastermind PBC.

This allows me to use Strymon's Nixie software to modify presets on a BigSky and Timeline through the Mastermind without having to disconnect my MIDI setup to plug in to them directly.

My use for this box may be quite niche, but I can vouch for its high build quality and the fact that it does what it says it will do without making a fuss.

Simple and useful MIDI routing product

I recently overhauled my MIDI routing in my studio and I found that using the Quadra Thru to be useful in allowing my to link my Moog Minimoog Model D to my hardware sequencer for note input whilst also allowing to distribute the same MIDI to my Motu Midi Express 128 and another synth module nearby.
