Great device!

Works as advertised, big plus is power over MIDI, which makes life sooo much easier :)

compact, without need for adapter, its a handdy midid divider, especially for on the road

I already own 2 of this by now, and I am sill very pleased by the Quad thru from MIDI Solutions. I even daisy chaned them and thiswithout any singal loss or issues.

For me the biggest advantage over similiar products from comptetion, like doepfer, is that there is no need to use an adapter, it is powered by midi and works fine. My forst model is by now also multiple years old, and is still working perfectly, so I can only advize this quad midi, once again, especially for live gigs and on the road.

I have an Arturia key step and 4 synths and this little box lets me switch between my synths with ease. I just have to try and not buy more synths. Recommended.

Simple and effective

I picked this up so I could control multiple synths with one controller, and that's exactly what it does, takes MIDI from one device and sends it to four. The box itself is kind of flimsy feeling and made of plastic, but I don't see it being a problem. It's simple and it does the job, what more do you need?

Perfect

Does exactly what it is meant to do, sturdy and well made. Using it to drive an ARP, MS 20 from a beatstep pro.

A perfect midi "splitter"

This is an excellent piece of hardware that does exactly what you expect. The best thing about it is that it does not require any power - which means one less cable and one less wallwart.

Useful piece of kit!

I used to use a large and rather complicated programmable unit for all my midi equipment, then I sold that and tried daisy chaining midi units, (not ideal, things like midi delay and stuck notes plagued me). Then I bought this excellent little unit, one of the very few options out there nowadays. Excellent little unit, good price and does it's job quietly and perfectly. The only thing I'm not so keen on is the lightweight, somewhat flimsy feeling, plastic case, but then, once installed, how much does that matter?

Solid, small and affordable

Solid, small and affordable plug and play device to send all midi signals from the midi in port to four midi thru ports. I use it to output midi from my sequencer to different synth modules. Powered by midi so no external adapter needed. Great device that easily does the trick.

Simple but effective

This box does exactly what it says on the packet. Simple to install, just come out of your keyboard Midi Out directly into the Midi In on up to four devices and that's it, all four controlled from one point. Much simpler than daisy chaining the devices. The beauty of this particular box is that it doesn't require any external power, unlike some other devices of this nature. I wanted to be able to power up just the external device I wanted to use, rather than my whole Midi chain. A great solution and I can't see any downside to it.

This thing solves problems!

I purchased the Quadra Thru to connect between my Analogue Solutions Europa Sequencer and my different synths. Instead of daisy chaining the synths with midi chords from one to another, the quadra thru makes it possible to connect all synths to the midi source at once, with the benefit of gaining some timing and loosing some delays and missed midi notes.

The quadra through does not need external powering, which is a big plus in my book. I have enough wall warts as it is. You just connect a midi cable from the source to the input on the quadra thru, and then from the outputs to the inputs of the synths. It just works straight away with no configuration.

A product like this may seem expensive for what it does, but this one is very well designed, very well built and works without any setup. I think it is moderately priced and I'm very satisfied with it.

Brilliant product

flawless Midi thru box which is phantom powered via midi, so no external power supply required. I use this to feed midi PC and CC messages from a Voodoo Lab Ground Control Pro / GCX system to an RJM Mini Amp Gizmo, a Digitech Whammy, Line 6 Filter Modeller Pro, Line 6 M13 and a Rocktron Xpression. Never had any glitches or latency. It's better not to chain that many units off their Thru outputs, so this allows me to split the chain and send stronger signals to more units, which makes my rig/switching more reliable. I would definitely buy other Midi Solutions products.
