Does its job but there are some problems

The purpose of this keyboard is to send midi signals to your computer and it does this. However, the user guide is hardly understandable. My keyboard is stuck in a mode where a light flashes non-stop. Anyway, expect ony to send midi signals to your computer with this device.

Amazing keyboard for the price

This is an excellent keyboard for the price. The keys feel solid and provide a surprisingly natural response for the mechanics used in this. I would recommend this keyboard to anyone who is looking for a keyboard that is fairly portable, though limited in range, but still feels natural and offers additinal features.

This keyboard is super small and super heavy, metal made with huge keys.

No funny stuff or stupid presets.

Real midi port.

Exactly what I need.

perfect for making a micro synth with a 19 inch synthesizer

i bought this for making a micorminimoog model d behringer synth, it is made of steel, and has full size keys.

one star less because it has no power switch and no dc input, only usb... thas was not stated in the specs... but i am very pleased!

good for studio use only

It's too heavy to carry it out of the studio

and the joystick is not as useful a wheel is...

fell apart with little work

It does (or rather, did) what it was supposed to do - send midi data to the computer. I got some work done with it but it fell apart within 4 months of casual usage.

The keys aren't holding very well, after a few sessions a few went up and stayed above the rest - it still works but feels weird as the keys aren't at the same height anymore.

Too bad.

Good keyboard

This keyboard has a very good build quality and does exactly what I needed of it. I use it simply as a midi controller to control synths in my DAW and it's great. Considering its affordable price it also has some good features including a pitch changing joystick and octave changer plus other features I'm yet to use.

It also came with some useful looking software, including EZ drummer Lite, although I already have the full version. If you require a small keyboard that has some useful functions and is well made this is one to consider.

The only other thing is that it's USB powered, so if you only want to use the midi output you'll still have to also connect the USB to something.

Plug and Play

Just connect and you are ready to go. Its a bit heavy but that gives you idea about build quality - plastic and metal frame feels solid. Great tool for beginners especially considering it's price.

Great starter keyboard can be used via USB with most items. It has weighted keys so it has a nice feel. Also comes with the software samplitude, though I have yet to use. Amazing all round MIDI keyboard. And as the name midistart suggests it's great for beginners

Does the job

Basic midi keyboard that does the job. Surprisingly good build quality with metal frame.
