Surprisingly good!

Bought this as a backup/side-snare..but this quickly became my main snare. Sounds awesome!! Only drawback is the snare mechanism, it’s a bit sluggish..no big deal though.

Low profile, well-made, and sounds great! Definitely a good option for a low-cost snare drum!

Budget snare for experience in modifying drums

Drum looking all good when I unpacked it but I noticed the snare strainer was loose. After finally getting a grip on the bolt behind the leverage mechanism the bolt snapped. Fortunately I have a lot of good quality bolts in my workshop so I managed to upgrade them. I’m also adding a 42 strand snare and heads plus internal trigger. This is a great item if you enjoy modifying and have tools and parts. If you live with just a screwdriver in your kitchen drawer beware.

Basic bargain snare - the cheapest thing going but strikes a point between quality and affordability.

The stock skin is pretty lackluster, change it up and it's a decent sounding snare.

There's really not that much to it, it's a Piccolo snare so pretty brisk in timbre. What you'd expect.

Small drum, big sound!

I wanted to have a picolo type side snare. Because of the good price and good reviews I just went for it.

Just with a little bit of tunning the sound was amazing right out of the box.

In no time this snare became my main snare while I put my ludwig supralite ( also an amazing snare ) to the side.

Versatile sound. Amazing for rock music. Good for jazz, hip-hop, r&b, funk. Can be loud as hell with little effort ;) Great ghost note sound with high tunning.

only one minus: the trow-off sometimes doesn't work all the way, so I have to use my hands to get the snares off. But this is barely a problem for such a great sound and price!

Highly recommend this one!!!

Snare

Lovely sound great for the quality but the throw off has become very stiff

not a top snare of course, but after changing skin and snare it became a pretty good snare!

lugs are a bit stiff, but not fragile

This sounds crazy good...i have not heard much snare drums in real life... but for sure this is niceee coming from 6years exp.

anyway great quality,,nice heads,, although some screws were loose so be careful taking it from the box as it might fall..

had to tight 3screw lugs i guess u call it...lol anyway awesome price for this picollo

Also its Super loud and sharp and has this very jazz blues funk thing going on which is Crazy good!! if u hit the hoops and head sideways kinda. Thats ALL!!

Absolutely Belting!

I bought this on the recommendation from other online users and it really is a great little snare!

The stock heads it came with were a bit naff but are more than usable.

I switched them out with some new heads i had lying round and it really does sound great.

Snare wires seem ok aswel, don't think i'll be replacing them any time soon.

Definately feels more substantial than the price i paid.

Great drum for a great price!

I replaced the stock snare on my Mapex Tornado with this. This is an AMAZING snare drum for 55 euro! It is very nice and crisp. It would have sounded good with a big of moongel on the stock head. However, I replaced the stock head with an Evans Black Hydraulic head and put on a Gibralter 42 strand snare wire. It has a super crisp cracking sound with no snare buzz. For a more jazzy tone the stock snare wire would suit just fine. I have played alot of picollo snares and this is as good as any of them. I had a Tama picollo snare that wasn't half as good as this. The only picollo I played that sounded better than this was a pearl picollo with a floating head. That drum cost 8 x the price as this little beauty!

Good quality and well balanced sound for this price class. With some hardware upgrades it could make a good professional snare drum.

What a beautiful sounding snare

I've fallen in love with this snare. It's amazing that for this price you get such an amazing sound. When low-tuned, the snare sounds punchy and powerful. When high-tuned, it cuts through the mix and rings just right. I haven't changed the original heads and yet it sounds awesome. I can't imagine how great it will sound when I replace the heads for my all-time favorite Remo Ambassador heads.

For such little money. This is a Fantastic sounding drum. Change the head and snare wires and you have a fantastic addition to any kit.

good piccolo snare drum

i was looking for cheap snare to complete the drum kit i was selling, and for that price, millenium piccolo steel was my choice.

i put remo ps3 on it, and a was surprised by the tone. just wow! i could not believe how good it is.

the down side: it is not quality made snare drum, the lugs and thrower are really cheap, and you need to tune it often.

but for that price, this is really good snare drum.

A great value snare drum for any drummer

This drum is made with unprecedented care, and the sound quality really shines through!

I can't tell you quite how amazing this really is.

The lugs can be tightened to quite some tension, without compromising on resonance and clarity.

A powerful edition to any drum kit from beginners to professionals I cannot recommend enough!

Great extra snare at low price.

Great little snare. There is a great crack of this and the build quality is quite suprising for such a small amount of money.

Only drawback is the batter head that comes with it is quite bad and would have to be replaced pretty quickly.
