Great amp for the money

I bought this headphone amp for my project studio to send the headphone mic from my DAW to the live room for drummers and vocalists. It's proven to be very reliable and sturdy despite its low price.

Pros:

1. Very strong metal housing. This is not some cheap plastic that will break easily. This unit can take a beating and it will still work like a champ.

2. Comes with detachable rubber feet that help the amp to stay in place and not slip away. The rubber also helps to prevent it from damage, if dropped.

3. It can produce very high volume - it's suited even for very loud drummers.

Cons:

1. Somewhat flimsy volume knobs, although I doubt that they would break easily or stop functioning.

2. It has some self-noise - a little hissing can be heard from the unit, although it is not a problem once music starts playing.

Summary:

It is an excellent unit for the price. I would definitely get another one if I lost this. Highly recommended, especially for beginners.

Does exactly what it says it does. Solid construction. May not look the best but it seems like it would last forever. Very good for use with turntable

Very good for price

Simple and straightforward. Does the job. No noises or problems. An on/off switch would be handy, though.

Great small headphone amp

This is really great little headphone amp, especially when you are recording outside the studio and don't want to drag around some big and heavy amps.

Pros: Provides clean enough signal and does get pretty loud, that's suprising for that kind of money. The box itself is pretty strong and the knobs feel good too, no wobbling

So-so's: You can only feed in stereo signal - when plugging in mono jack, the signal will only come out from one side.

Con's: The black rubber/plastic sides fall off quite easily. However some glue will fix that.

Gets the job done

Metal box with rubber on each side. Does what it's made to do pretty good. No major sound coloring. And the price is affordable. A good purchase!

Does it's job nicely!

Use this with my audio interface to split the headphone signal to more sets of headphones the recording other people. So that everyone can hear the tracking process! works great without any degrading in volume or sound!

Loud and clear

I bought this headphone preamp for my recording studio, where I already have other preamps of several manufacturers.

I am very satisfied with the product because the sound is clear, no hiss or hum. Also, the preamp is surprisingly loud, compared to those of other companies, while the sound remains clean.

No complains that I can think of. I have used it for 4-5 years without a single problem. For the price, I don't think I could have made a better choice.

Live and studio use

I've got a few of these that I use onstage to feed click tracks to myself and my drummer.

I also use them in the studio to send monitor mixes to the players.

Audio quality is great, and there's more gain available than you'll ever need.

They're very well designed, the low profile and rubber end caps ensure they stay where you put them. I also have a few of the Behringer alternative, that aren't as well designed (I have to blu-tac them to surfaces and even then they tend to overturn). They both do the same job, but I'd buy the Millenium version every time, simply because if doesn't slide around.

There are very few features, just an input and 4 stereo outputs with volume knobs. I still gave it a 5 because it does what it's supposed to do.

great value and it works

works very well with my Blackstar HT20 which needs an amp to be used with the line level output on the back panel, you will need a suitable mono to stereo jack to make both headphones work as the amps output is mono.

great

I use it to send a submix during recording to different band members. No noise at all until 12 o'clock position, which is sufficient for our head sets. Also if I increase the submix level from the mixer, it does not amplify the noise. It is sturdy and good looking little device, very useful. I would buy it another 3 times if stolen.

Great Headphone Amp

I bought this headphone amp for my home studio to demo songs before recording them. This is a great little headphone and does exactly what it says on the tin. One stereo channel in and four channels out each with their own volume control. Their is plenty of gain in each channel also. I also use this to route a mix to 4 different sets of speaker when listening back which it also handles great. For the price of this unit you cant go wrong. It is a very well built unit that can stand some abuse and the rubber sides make sure it doesn't slide off of desks. I will be getting another one in the near future.

Sturdy

Well-built, was pleasantly surprised by the sturdyness and quality feeling - not at all "plastic-y". No complaints about the sound at all, and the volume knobs have a comfortable resistance which makes for quick but precise adjustments. If you don't need a rack mounted headphoneamp, get this one. The only thing I'm missing is an on/off switch.

Got this to get easier headphone volume control for my tc-helicon play acoustic. I use it with akg k240 mkii phones and it works great! Lots of power. too bad that the power connection is on the back side. Small detail I know, but I would prefer it to be next to the jack connectors. Good price, good little product!

Very good and very affordable

You will not be disappointed here! Very well made and very affordable. You will not hear hiss or degraded sound from this. Perfect if you need an easy to carry around headphone amp and at this cost this is a no brainer! You cannot go wrong here if this is what you need.

Brilliant amp, does exactly what is required

I have my own home studio, although my mixer only had one output for headphones.

I required a headphone amplifier and this caught my eye.

It is very cheap and affordable, it allows for the input of four separate headphones.

This is exactly what I needed, there is no sound quality lost through the use of this amp

And each set of headphone's is given its own volume control.

The unit feels sturdy and reliable.

It comes with rubber on both sides which prevent the unit from moving around when placed on a hard surface.

Overall, for the price this amp is good. It does exactly what is required from it.

I highly recommend the purchase of this to anyone who is looking to start home recording with the idea of using more than one set of headphone's

Very useful pre-amp

Having multi-channels is a very useful feature and the sound quality is good. The plastic case protectors are a nice feature and the unit remains in place on smooth surfaces. Recommended

Excellent value

I bought this unit to use for working on song arrangements, rehearsing instrumental parts etc at my friend's apartment. It feels very well built with a sturdy metal enclosure. It has 4 headphone channels with individual volume controls for each. The volume knobs have a nice solid feel to them too. The rubber surrounds on the ends stop it moving about if you place it on a table or other raised surface. I'm no hi-fi expert but the sound quality seems very acceptable to me, it does the job we bought it for well and we are very happy with it so far.

To summarise I would say an excellent bit of kit and very good value for money

You can't ask more in this price

You get what you pay.

For the price this preamp does its job. Of course if you try to max the volumes you' ll get some distortion but it does a great job as a simple headphone pre-amp

Aint pretty, but..

After all, it isn´t the looks your after when it comes to this kind of products and it does what it is supposed to very well with excellent sound quality. No problems to drive my K240:s that are notoriously hard on headphone amplifiers.
