Millenium Hi-Hat Controller

Great value for your money controller.

Used with both Alesis Nitro Mesh and Alesis Strike Multipad.

I find it a bit more robust and chunkier than the original alesis.

A budget HH controller that does a fantastic job for a simple task (open/close).

Considering purchasing another for back up or triggering other gear.

Compared to it's expensive and well known and reliable competitors, you still can't go wrong for that price.

Ok for the money, better to invest a little more for quality

Suits a kid's set or someone who is just looking for a pedal and plays an odd time for recreation.

Deze review komt lang na de aankoop. Aangeschaft om te gebruiken met een Yamaha tafeldrumstel. Heb dit al lang weg gegooid. Teleurstellend.

Wens alleen acoustisch te spelen.

Deze pedaal is wel beter dan het belknopje dat Yamaha mee levert.

Overall is what you pay for

It's the cheapest pedal around here, playable and built well. It's sensitive and works well with Alesis Multipad. Comes with cable.

Great Pedal

Really good pedal. At this price point it’s as good as it gets. Have several using them as bass drum, hi-hat & sampler triggers. All work faultlessly.

Good Hi-Hat Controller even for Alesis CompactKit 7

I have been using this hi-hat controller with Alesis CompactKit 7 for over a year and is definitely better than the default controller. It has the right feel although a bit too springy. You also have to make sure to use a mono cable and the right selection switch setting for it to work with Alesis CompactKit 7. It might even work as a base drum pedal but I modified another controller for that.

Useful, cheap and short-living

I am at my 3rd Millenium hi-hat controller ( for my Millenium MPS 200 drum set) and all 3 of them first started emitting sporadic confused noises in their closed position and finally ended up mute and response-less in less then a year (of playing like a few hours a week max ). Considering the low price of the unit, it's not a big issue, however, living out of the EU begets pretty high shipping prices and that's inconvenient. I searched for alternatives in this price range ( Alesi and similar brands) but they all seem of same manufacturing origin and quality, so... I guess that's just an unavoidable consequence when dealing with inexpensive stuff ... so much so that I'm actually thinking of getting my 4th one...

Ta Hi-hat je popolnoma kompatibilen z Yamaho DD65, ob pravilni ter normalni uporabi je hi-hat dovolj tih ter tudi igralen, če se izdelek uporablja za kar je namenjen je tudi zelo kvaliteten, torej ne bomo z njim razbijali orehe, za to ceno tudi presega svoja pričakovanja, vredno nakupa.

Hit-Hat Pedal

I use it on my Yamaha DTX Multi 12 EDrums pad.

I was forced to open it, clean and reassemble it for a more sensible response. After this, it never failed again. It does its job very well.

Works with Millenium MD-90

It will work a Millenium MD-90 as hihat and kick pedal, but you must use regular tip/sleeve cable and not TRS. Having said that, it works really well! The pedal itself is a bit noisy imo, but acceptable.

It is working very well with my Alesis sample pad pro.

Bought this a few years back and it served me perfectly until I sold the drum kit a few weeks back. Never failed once. Solid construction, triggered every time

Great for its price!

I use it with the Yamaha DTX Multi 12, and it does its job very well. It would be even better to have control over the HH (not just open/closed), but for what you pay it's very good already.

- Sticks to the floor

Cons:

- No height controllability

Good replacement

Good replacement for the pedal on my electric kit. Pretty similar in build to the one that came with it. Not sure how much of a beating it can take but hopefully it'll last a decent amount of time.

Millenium Hi-Hat Controller

I bought this as a cheap replacement for my broken Roland pedal, as the Roland pedals didn't seem to last very long before they started playing up. This was no different. It was noisy from the start (makes a loud clanging noise!) and feels cheap. It's the same used on Alesis elec kits and that says it all for me: made to a budget.

It broke within a year and I haven't even bothered to try to fix it - far too noisy and inefficient.

If you have a roland kit avoid these and go for a proper Roland replacement. They're more expensive but worth it!

Someone really needs to come up with spare parts for Roland kits that are affordable, as Roland must be making a fortune on their (in my opinion) overpriced parts!
