A product that competes with international brands

I cannot express myself. I did not expect drums to have these capabilities and to be able to compete with more famous international Companies and brands . Although many people have apprehension, I recommend them as they gave me a feeling as if I were playing with a real acoustic with a wonderful sound, although I have a comment on hi hat I did not understand what is wrong with it. Sometimes it needs to Adjust

This product is very good and reliable. For its price it gives the feeling and vision of playing a real drums. Very good production and nice look!

Great for triggering vst

I've had this kit for over a year and use it with Addictive Drums 2 - the module has many configuration options available to fine tune the triggering of a vst to enable a realistic feeling kit so it's really worthwhile spending time learning the parameters. I've never listened to the sounds in the module so can't rate them. The Hi-hat does have some minor issues in terms of accuracy of triggering but for this price I can't complain and it doesn't really affect the playability for someone of my limited drumming experience. It looks very cool and the build quality is certainly good enough. Overall I'm really pleased with it and one year in it still inspires me to play which is all you can ask for.

After owning a Roland VAD507 I was sceptical. But to be honest once you mess around with the settings it's a good kit. Module sounds are not the best. But route it through ez drummer 3 ect. I can't tell any difference from what I had coming out of the Roland. So don't use the module. Kick pedal . Put it in the bin. This or a 6k Roland ..this wins every time.

The best mid tier e-kit out there!

After a solid year of playing this kit, alot of drum covers, a full unboxing video and metal playing, i can surely say this kit is the next best thing!

This is features a solid big bass drum that can easliy fit your double kick pedal with no trouble at all, no more moving the pedal and trying to fit it.

The toms and snare feel amazing and adjustable to your need.

The hardware is not the best but it is replacble and can be upgraded if needed, it is a basic kit, fit for those who are doing their first move into E-kits from acostic kits and are in need of the normal size drums.

The module do not offer alot of varity in sounds but has a great and easy UI to operate and interact with.

The packaging is great and came in 3 parcels, protected and secured.

The cymbals are great especilly the 3 zone ride, really smooth and has a nice dynamic range to it and same goes to the other cymbals.

The hi-hat is great as well not the best but will do.

In conclusion, if you are looking to have your first purchase of an E-Kit that will last you long, will provide you with better home training, help you master the drums and won't break your piggy bank,

Great kit… for amount 2 months!

This great sounds amazing and feels great to play, however it has zero robustness. I’ve had mine 8 months and so I’ve had the bass drum replaced 3 times cause the plastic arms inside holding the sensor eventually snap under the constant pressure of being hit by the beater.

I’ve had the hi hat pad replaced twice because the sensor has gone on the closed hats so can only play it as fully open. Ride pad needed replaced and now no longer triggers at the same time as the bass drum trigger so can’t play it. Tried everything to fix this through calibration and nothing works. Both cymbal also need replaced. Snare has a hole in the mesh head and the rim shot sensor no longer works and won’t trigger.

In 8 months the only thing that hasn’t needed replaced on this kit are the toms.

The cheap plastic arms holding the bass drum sensor are truly unforgivable and not fit for purpose, never seen such poorly thought out design and material.

It’s such a shame cause the kit is amazing when everything works and isn’t falling apart on you!

The parts have been replaced without too much fuss and customer service have generally been great to deal with in that regard but it’s becoming frustrating to have to keep getting new parts sent out every few weeks.

Genius idea Awesome product using it with EZ3 or SDD5

at first I was hesitant to order this kit mainly because the price

it is so cheap, knowing that I will use VST even with High-End Module because the variety of sound and the quality it's just more realistic than most of drum modules.

I decided to give it a try and I'm 100% not disappointed after little bit of tweaking in triggers settings I was Amazed by this kit, Midi driver installed automatically when connected to computer and I got what I need with 999 Euros.

how did this pass quality assurance?

Bought this drum set for a few reasons:

1. real size of pads and cymbals, with good reviews on the mesh heads.

2. module functionality - separate EQ per element and BT connectivity.

3. value for money for a flagship product, that is also stunningly beautiful.

upon arrival had a few issues with the kit.

a. cut of the exterior lining of the bass drum was probably done by someone drunk. it should not have passed QA and shipped to a costumer.

b. 40 kits but most of the sounds are truely nothing I will use to play with, and all low frequencies (bass drum, floor etc...) volume sounded very very low.

I had tried different headphones and a RCF ART amplifier, and had to manually reduce other elements (snare, cymbals, hh) to get a decent sound from bass and floor.

3. using it for a year, the module is randomly and sporadically shutting down. sometimes cant even play more than a minute before it switches off for no apparent reason.

cant express my disappointment from this experience.

expected more from a flag ship product.

Don't Waste Your Money

I bought this kit 18 months ago and have had so many problems with the hi hats that its beyond a joke. I have spoken to numerous customer service people, and they have offered options, but none of the options work.

The problem with the hi hats is something that quite a few people have mentioned in Youtube videos. And there doesn't seem to be a solution?!?!

Aside from the Hi Hats, I think the rubber on the snare is of very inferior quality as it has split within 30 mins of playing. The edges on the wing nuts of the hardware are very sharp too. The kick drum pedals base plate which comes with the kit bent and is very inferior quality.

They aesthetic of the kit is really nice.

Playability of the drums is also very nice.

Cymbals lack sensitivity and nuances that are offered on other superior electric brands.

Mesh heads are responsive.

The module is very good, and easy to navigate around.

Sadly the major issues and lack of accountability from the customer service/technical team leaves a very sour taste in my mouth, and I wish I had never bought the kit to be honest.

It's certainly not un-playable, but it's certainly far from reliable!

Poor and not recommended!!!

Unbelievable Value for Money

I bought this kit having tested out Roland VAD series kits and the ATV kits as well, all of which had a hefty price tag. This Millenium kit is comparable to both and really does make you wonder why Roland are so expensive. This kit is a steal, and i'm speechless. If you are wanting to buy an electric kit that looks real, sounds great has loads of features then forget the brands charging thousands, this is all you need!

Great bit of kit, especially for the price.

If you're looking for a closer to acoustic feel and don't want to break the bank, this is the kit for you. It seems well built and generally feels great to play. The only place it falls down slightly is in the module, more trigger inputs to expand the kit and a normal MIDI rather than USB would have been nice. All in all, given the low price tag for this style of kit, it's well worth the money.

Cons:

Guys and girls, the first you need to know - THIS KIT ARE VERY LOUD!

I do not recommend you to buy this kit in a flat and think twice before buy in a house!

Playing in bass drum can make a 90+db sound because a wooden shell have own vibrations.

Module sounds is awful and have a perceive lag.

Pros:

Sound module is more convenient than 750X.

The cymbal stands is very useful and can be used in future with brass cymbals.

Great! Not just for the price.

It was a surprise, the quality is very good, the playability is outstanding, and the sounds are ok, not the best I have played but good enough.

When you connect this thing to Superior drummer 3 it is when it shines.

The setup was easy and there are videos to walk you through the process.

It took me around 2 hours from boxes to playing and a total of 4 to get the final details so that I can feel comfortable and have a great sound.

I was worried about the hi hat, but after calibration it is now one of the best I have ever played, especially with SD3.

Great drum kit for the price

I will give the millennium MPS 1000 a 4 out of 5. The drum kit took about a week and a half to arrive in the UK. It was very well packaged and easy to assemble. The hardware and the playability is awesome. The sounds that come from the module are alright but that's not an issue with me because I use sound from Superior Drummer. The drum kit definitely feels like you are playing a real acoustic drum kit.

The reason why I will give the drum kit a 4 out 5 is:

1. When you play the open hit-hat it misses some notes but I don't seem to have that problem when I use Superior Drummer.

2. The cymbals are great but there is no choke function with them.

Overly its great drum kit if the choke function and the hi-hat issues don't bother you that much.

Decent kit for price

Lets see. I think for the price it is fine, but after having it for a while, I came to notice a couple of annoyances? which I will mention here, as there is enough reviews talking about the positives.

The hihat controler is not so good. I think it is decent when it works, but splashing the hihat is pretty much a guarantee. No matter how slowly I lift it, once it reaches the open value it splashes every time (at varying volumes), which is extremely annoying. I even set the velocity adjustment to the lowest value and it did not help in eliminating it. Why not use the tried and tested controller design I do not know, but I think the controller on MPS 850 felt better than this one. Hitting the half open sound can also be annoying, it seems to be quite a narrow window.

The snare pad misses hits. I dont know if it is playing too strong or a combination of head tuning along with strong hitting, but I notice the snare misses hits and produces no sound (mainly noticed this when practicing/performing flams, so take it as you will)

I will also mention, that the ride bell seems to be alternating bell and normal sound, even though the module still shows bell zone hit. So while the module can recognize you hit the bell twice, one sound will be bell and one regular ride sound. Have not tested with software, probably not a problem there.

The metronome is quite limited. I mean, I would expect at least basic quarter/eighth/sixteenth/32nd clicks present, these are the ones most used during regular practice. I would also expect triplet/sextuplet option. You can sort of fake it with 3/4 and 6/4 options but its not quite it. So if you prefer those clicks tough luck, only quarter note is really there. I also wish it would be easier to change metronome volume, you can only do it in the specific metronome menu, no quick and easy way to do it in the kit select screen. Maximum bpm setting is 240, if anyone is wondering.
