Millenium MPS-150X E-Drum Mesh Set 4-stars Reviews
Perfect for first time buyer
My first set of e drums, very impressed easy to build and mesh pads feel great, module is a little lackluster but you get exactly what you get for the price, all in all very solid piece of tech!
lack of sensibility on cymbals
as title, cymbals have to be hit strong. Not bad on drums and it don't sounds bad, but charleston pedal have no sensibility: it's on or off like a child keyboard. Prepare to spend 100e more (on charl. pedal) if you want to seriously study
Absolutely Perfect For Beginners
I gotta say, I am really shocked by the quality of this drum set at this price point. I got this as a present for my son. After comparing all of the prices similar electronic drum sets, this is almost as low and you can go, and there is still exceptional quality. There is a learning curve to the assembly if you have never set up drums before, (like me), but other than that, this is a smooth ride. The kit shakes a bit when playing pretty hard but this can be adjusted by how you place the rack and by tightening all of the bolts where the pieces connect. The onboard sounds seem pretty good given the price point, I have heard some negativity about that. Also, the bass pedal is absolutely spot on, that I know. The response is also really good, I have heard complaints about that. The only real con that I have with this set is the rim that is on each of the drum pads. Given the size of the pad, the rim is definitely too tall. You can adjust to this, but it can definitely be an annoyance. With that being set, I would still recommend this drum set to anybody, at this price point, it's basically disposable. If you are learning, you can bang away on this thing for years before you upgrade.
Excellent Value
Bought these for a child who has shown some promise with a snare drum, but now I play them sometimes as well. These are not pro-level pads but they far exceed my expectations in terms of quality, sound, and playability. For a beginner set or a second set for use in an apartment these are excellent. I have not connected them to an external sound source / used the USB/MIDI in any way so that may make them even better. After almost a year of 2x weekly use they are still good as new. A great value.
Very nice kit
I am very happy with this kit, use it as a midi controller.
Great for beginners!
This is my first drum ever and i think it's pretty good for a beginner. At this price the fact that you can buy a full mesh e-drum is incredible. The shipping was pretty, considering it was christmas time. Overall i'm happy with my choice.
Pro
- Competitive price;
- Full mesh e-drum;
Perfect for a beginner that doesn't want to spend too much on his first drum.
Cons
- Not that easy to assemble (probably because it was my first time).
Terrible Instructions
The instructions are totally useless!!!! How do you connect a computer etc!!!!!!!! If you have a wooden floor get ready for deep scratches from the bass drum!!!!!!
A really good starter kit
The mesh drums of this kit are really good. 5/5 feel,quality and response. Bass drum is amazing and really similar to a real kit.
The cymbals are mediocre with ok response 3/5
Drum module is very basic,with ok sounds for the price.
Also the ride is single zone.
The very negative thing about this kit is the rack itself. It is flimsy, even if you tighten everything to max , it will always fall apart . Hitting the snare two or 3 times will lower it. So if you get this kit I would suggest getting a snare stand of appropriate size. Overall for the price this mesh kit is really good!
