Millenium MPS-750X E-Drum Mesh Set Reviews
Beautiful!
This is a quality kit! I've had this for about a year now, and it has fulfilled and exceeded my every expectation. Everything about it is nicely built and designed. I did LOTS of checking so many other and this, by far out gunned them all for bang for your buck! The sounds are good and they all can be tweaked and reassigned. The kit itself can easily be configured to your needs, left or right handed, the position of the module.....For this price, the features it has blows others of similar or greater price out of the water - Actual hi-hat stand and kick pad, multi zones on cymbals, chokable, EQ, built-in and PC kit editor, mesh heads, ......... I've had seasoned drummers who aren't keen on Ekits, very impressed. Several have reconsidered their whole outlook and have brought one. Lovely kit to look at and wonderful to play.
Love the hardware, the drum brain could be more straightforward.
I'm enjoying playing the kit. Nice big heads compared to my old dtxplorer. Good feedback from the mesh heads. I wish the Cymbal supports were longer and allowed you till tilt them toward you more. One of them is a bit hard for me to reach comfortably. The 'brain' is a bit finicky to use, but bit by bit I'm getting there - the manually could've been more detailed in its explanations. All in all I'm glad I picked this kit over others out there that are way more expensive. The bundled Addictive Drums software is a great addition and makes up for some of the less satisfying samples in the 'brain'.
First drumkit, no experience, like it
Four stars for quality, because the stand moves a bit too much, especially the leg that supports the snare, whose foot has a tendency to shift backwards, putting the leg at an angle. It's probably inevitable with these designs where all toms are affixed to one unique frame. As a total beginner, who has made an impulse buy, I can't compare it to other heads, but the rebounds feel nice. Same for the kick, as a beginner, I have no comparison basis, it feels way too bouncy, but I suppose you couldn't do faster tempos if it wasn't, because your foot ain't gonna beat 300 times a minute. I picked up drums to finally put some rhythm into myself, as I am atrocious. Therefore I could not really care less about having realistic sounds, yet what comes out of the headphones sounds like drums. No problems there. I tried a few different sounds, latin, jazz, rock, all sound good. Probably nitpickers are gonna nitpick, but this is not a pro set for a pro band :) I have put 3 on features, because I only learn some rhythm (I know, repeating myself) - therefore I haven't tested anything on the sound module yet, except metronome, kit selection, and individual toms volume sliders.
Millenium MPS-750X - First electronic kit
Overall this is a good value kit. Relatively easy set up. Slight problem with the Hi Hat trigger, sometimes it doesnt sound which is frustrating, kick pedal rattles a bit but for the price I´d recommend this is a good starter kit.
A solid entry-point into the acoustic-look/electronic drum kit
A solid entry-point into the acoustic-look/electronic drum kit.
The MPS-750X is extremely easy to use despite its many features. It comes with hi hat stand and the mesh pads provide a realistic drumming experience .The only problem i face is with the HiHat, that it doesn't detect correctly when you open them but other than that it seems like a good option.
great
Overall is a great set, versatile with all these double and triple zones, but you have to spend time on adjusting sensitivity, threshold etc and note that the sensors are near the edge - hitting at this point will produce significantly higher volume sound. This also affects the sensitivity on the bass drum.
(Please note that i am a relatively new drummer)
amazing kit for the price
have not found a single issue with it so far completely recommend for £439. heads feel really nice and the hi hat stand feel amazing which i was not expecting at this range. only issue is that the instructions were a bit vague but you can work it out :)
So good
Got this edrum kit last Christmas 2022..
Great sound from the Millenium MPS-750X E-Drum. Highly recommend this for a starter kit.
Good item for a reasonable price.
We get these drums for our drums students and everyone is really happy with it! Price is amazing for quality. Really good item for home rehearsals!
It's Perfect for Practicing
This is honestly everything I needed. I play and practice at home and I can easily take it apart, fold it, put in my truck and take it to small jam sessions and rehearsals with my band. I recommend.
Good as a first e-drumset
Been playing it for 5 months now.
Great tool to practice on. The pads response is still great, the cymbals aswel.
The bass drum pedal I change it from like the begining. The bassdrum itself is a bit weak an tends to move a lot. Managed to stop it somehow.
I mount the drumkit on top of a drumriser with the tenis ball thingy and 0 complains from neightbours so far (and I tell you I blast like a maniac :D)
So to summarize.. great edrumkit to start with. But try to look for a place to play acoustic kit nevertheless. I use this one now to learn songs.
Overall 4/5
Unfortunately whilst rest of the drums are excellent, we have issues with Hi Hat which don’t work. I contacted the team today and yet to hear from them
Nice drums
Perfect for training and practicing in the apartment. Using it for some things more, it's kinda pain.
Maybe my worst buy ever!
Value 4 money
Recently bought the set. The set up wasn't difficult.
The sound of the drums set from the headphones is poor but not the same with the songs. I have a problem with kick pad Hope to solve it. Good enough for exercise
Totally worth it!!
Because of the price I wasn't expecting a lot but I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived..the quality of the drums was way more than I expected and they feel and look great the only problem I've had is with setting up the hi hats but that was my fault..I've had these drums for around 6 months and everything works great..I would definitely recommend this kit
Really good e-drums
Wasn't expecting much but I was really surprised by this kit. It was really easy to build. Quality of the materials and build quality is very good. Adjustability and playabillity are at top level. Pads feel really nice and sturdy, the impact feels very close to the acoustic drums. The technical part is also really good, you can adjust anything from individual pad sounds to note the pad sends to PC. Samples sound really good and variety of kit surprises. PC connection was easy too. I play trough Addictive Drums 2 and it connects perfectly. I'm glad I choose this e-drum kit, can recommend it to anyone.
U do not need the basic module. U need a Superior Drummer 3.
Insane kit! Fow less than a 500 euros you receive all what you need to practice. Only one flaw - HH does not have a bell\edge 2 triggers. has only one.
Original module is OK, but when kit connected to PC with MIDI, so they unveil this strenght,
This kit need a manual setup their sensivity etc, do not expect a good sound from the box. But when you found your own settings - it will shine.
Anything better than this kit would cost a 1000+ euros and more, and only for 1500+ euro you will receive features like 2-3 zone HiHat and multizone snare.
So MPS-750X are best in slot for all non-professional drummers!
Great set for the beginner
I am very pleased after 6 months of use. For a beginner this is a great drum set. It surpassed my expectations of what electronic drums can do at this price point. I use it often with Addictive Drums. Works great with low latency.
I use this drum for some silent recording in the bedroom. I'm a acoustic player, and still play acoustic drums, but i use this one for some silent playing, reheasing, practice.
The setup was pretty straight forward. had it setup in about 40 minutes. The hardware is descent, but the triggers are a bit below what i expected. Sensitivity is not that great on the pads, same with the cymbals, and the trigger for the hi hat isn't great either. You can work around lots of these issues by adapting your playing, and when recording to midi you can edit the errors in the recording, however, this takes up some time that could be spent on other things.
For beginners however, this is great. It's cheap, doesn't make too much noise, you have bluetooth for pairing with your phone, the built in sounds are "ok" for practice.
So in conclusion, for the money, it's a great kit. Will a kit that's double as expensive be double as good, it probably will be, but does everybody need it, no.
If you want to start drumming and do some light recording, this is great if you're willing to spend the time to correct your recordings and tune every skin to your preference. I consider this good value for money.
