Millenium MPS-200 Mono Cymbal Pad 5-stars Reviews
good
exactly what you'd imagine it is
Unexpectedly noisy
The pad itself is good, but due to the thinner rubber edge plastic part resonates and emits more noise compared to stereo pads (850mps stock ones).
Though it looks like it can be fixed by attaching some heavy rubber clamp on the plastic part
Wanted to add a splash like cymbal
Wanted to add a splash and this was perfect and I couldn't beat the price
Does the job, but not qiuet
I use this on my millenium kit and in comparison to teh cymbals that come with that kit this pad is pretty loud.
Works with DTX402k!
I have bought this mono cymbal as a cheap upgrade to add an extra crash to my Yamaha DTX402k and it worked without problems. The only thing I had to do was to tune the gain and thresholds. An extra clamp is needed to attach supplied rod to the main rack (38 mm tube).
A good one from Millenium
I bought this for a friend of mine. He is really happy with those cymbal pads. It takes years to break even under his hands - hard hitter ;) Until then everything works just fine - plug, cable, perfect.
works
using it with roland td-11, does its job properly. this is practically the same thing that alesis drums come with.
greattt
great addition to my millenium drums!
Great value add-on cymbal
I use this to trigger a sample on a SamplePad and it interfaces perfectly with that device. It does not matter that this is a mono pad in that case, but if you were looking to use it in a more complex setup its "single" voice might be an limitation.
Construction-wise it is built like a tank and I reckon it would take some amount of abuse before breaking.
Well worth the price for me as it has just worked from day one and it fitted onto my drum rack with the Millenium Rack Clamp C no problem.
Widely used
This is compatible with my Alesis set and very likely compatible with XDrum, Behringer and all other sets that use these Medeli pads as they are only different in the company logos labelled on them. The rubber surface is quite thin though, so the hits are coming through as hard loud knocks. I used some rubber tom dampers on them, cut to shape with scissors and glued with the best cheap substance in the Universe ever, the neutral silicone sealant. Now my cymbals are silent and working nicely.
Mono Cymbal
Just what i wanted a cymbal that looks like a cymbal
A good, basic quality cymbal pad.
This is a basic pad, no frills. Meaning that there is only one hit zone and no rim shots or bell sounds. Then again the price is very low. This is actually exactly the same unit as many cheaper Alesis cymbal pads. (I bought this Millenium cymbal for my Alesis DM-6 mini set and it works exactly as the original pads.)
