Very stable and surprisingly strong

I use this stand mainly in a recording studio for micing up drums. So far, it’s been very useful and has stood up well.

It does its job

It is not the strongest or the best but if handled with some care, it really works just fine.

Suitable for specific purposes

As a vocal microphone, it is inconvenient. He's not for that.

Rather, very well suited for recording kick drum or tambourine.

Construction is average in quality, but if you want to save money, this is for you. Of course I also managed to record vocals on them, haha

I bought a pair and considering the price, I was satisfied. After some time I bought another two but unfortunately the newer ones had the knobs made of hard plastic which isn't even nearly as durable as the more rubbery plastic on the older ones and also doesn't feel as nice. I was very disappointed.

Pros:

+ price

+ vertical part can be used without the boom

+ when you tighten the screw, the boom doesn't pivot

Cons:

- the stand is very light and a heavier microphone might tip it if fully extended

- knobs are now made of hard plastic which can break if the stand falls

-the paint can get scratched by the screw that holds the telescopic part of the boom in place

If you need a cheap small mic stand for a light mic (e.g. e906, KM184), this one is pretty good as long as you treat it well. Of course it ain't no K&M.

Easy to use, not very stable

I bought this stand because I wanted to try recording directly from my cab. I have a small 1x12 bass cab so I needed a small mic stand that I can move around the cone easily. This stand does the job but it takes me a few minutes to put it in place. Each of the three legs move independently, which may be something that you want but for me is more bothersome than anything.

Overall, it does the job but stability-wise it is not the best.

great cheap Mic stand

Great mic stand, can hold quite heavy microphones. ONly been using for a short while. But for now when well tightened it doesn't budge at all !

Really high quality stand, definitely worth the extra buck

Sturdy and reliable

As far as mic stands are concerned you need sturdiness and quality of construction. Lightness it's a plus. This has both and it is also light. It does its job.

Good for home use

I bought this stand for a home use only. Works fine already for several years. It is not extremely stable, especially, height regulation. But it does its job. Handlers are not too comfortable, but if you do not readjust it all the time - completely fine.

Pros:

- nice price/quality ratio;

- does its job quite well in stable conditions.

Cons:

- not extremely comfortable handlers;

- height regulation could be more stable (have to be tighten from time to time).

Portable and Neat

I like it is easily to put away and carry. The bottom or the feet is not a sturdy but managaeble. Is lovely for a sitting setup. Singing whilst sitting or podcasting. Is a known microphone stand provider so, go for it.

Great for the price, but could be a little more stable

Overall a great product, but you need to really get on with the tightening for it to hold an SM57 sized mic without wobbling or bowing after a few mins. Still happy with the purchase and I made it work, but if you are expecting a perfect stand for micing an amp, you may want to look into something a little sturdier.

Short Mic Stand

Ideal for micing up Kick drums and backline, well built and good quality

It's ok

It does its job but it isn't very sturdy. Once you set it up it will work as intended but I would not take it out on the road or buy this again.

I do not use the boom, I'd be afraid of the microphone.

As an auxiliary tripod - you set and do not touch - does the job.

For vocals do not recommend.

I like everything about it but a little stability failure around the top

Not credible

The plastic that you can see in 9 photos has a crack. Everything was, as always, well-packed and the box itself was delivered in good condition, I think the factory does not really care about quality. I took a stand for recording an acoustic guitar, I wanted to use my mic for this (Blue Baby Bottle). The stand does not look reliable and I decided to just put it in the pantry and not risk my microphone. it would be good for recording drums on small and light microphones, better add a few dollars and buy a more reliable stand. Buy at your own risk)

Great for the price

Having used several budget mic stands this is probably one of the best in terms of stability and build quality without spending substantially more money. I purchased two and use one regularly on snare top and kick. They're small enough to get into limited spaces in between a drum kit and the extendable boom arm is really useful when space is tight. There are some plastic elements which I can see becoming worn down with time however the attachment for the boom arm is excellent and the legs are sturdy plus these being metal is a definite benefit. I wouldn't recommend these for use in a busy music venue or on crowded stages as the plastic elements could easily be damaged or even broken, however for a home studio or some cheap backup replacement stands I can't fault them. I'd be a bit more sceptical putting heavier mic's such as larger condensers or valve mic's on these stands as I can see that they have the potential to drop or be knocked over however you could say the same about a lot of stands in this price range (and even the more expensive mic's such as K&M's are prone to this occasionally).

Maybe I should've lowered expectations...

...but this mic stand is kind of underwhelming. I came across a few different stands by now since I bought it and it's very lightweight (which is never good for any stand), the top element has an expendable piece but it doesn't have a stopping rim and when fully extruded it's unstable (I fear it's going to fall out) and the point where the bottom piece is screwed on the top piece requires it to be fully tightened, however then I can't rotate things around because the plastic cover is actually a set part of the top piece not a tightening element...

Admittedly it's not an expensive piece of equipment and it does the job about half the time, but if I need a good reach or need to use expensive microphones then this is not the right tool.

Solid Mic Stand and great for recording guitars

I purchased this mic stand to record guitars (Acoustic) and feel that the stand is stable and well built for the price. I would purchase another one if I find I need one.

Got it for my MV51. Does the job well!
