good for the money

it's not quite as high quality as a Hercules stand but it does the job well and if all you're looking for is an extra mic stand then this is a good piece of gear, if you'll be needing a main mic stand for gigs however you're better off investing in something more substantial

Mic stand

This held my microphone very well. I was very happy with it initially but then i tried to attach my AKG C414 and the Thread mount was too big. I think that the adapter should be included for both attachments. This is where they really let themselves down. That little attachment could be the difference between a good and bad recording session. Shame for something so small.

OK for the money.

The build quality and matereals seem fine, only some joints could be better built. Even when locked in position feels a bit wobbly. In a studio works fine. on a stage I would look elsewhere.

Solid

A very solid mic stand for the price.

If you need greater functionality & features then you need to pay more but if you don't then this is perfect.

Does as it is supposed to

I use this microphone for home recordings and for my desktop microphone. For this use it is adequate.

The pros:

- it is easy to set up

- it can reach very high and very low

- it is folds well

The cons.

- the main pivot adjustment is difficult to tighten and is not suitable for heavier more fragile microphones

- if the microphone is stretched out the stand is fairly easy to topple

Over all a solid purchase for basic needs. However, I wouldn't consider it for more professional settings as it isn't stable enough.

Out-standing

I use the Millenium MS-2003 in my home studio set up and have found it to be a perfectly serviceable microphone stand. It feels sturdier than other similarly priced microphone stand which I have tried in the past and would have no problem recommending it for home or light studio use.

Decent stand. Good value.

It's a good stand for the money. Had a bit of trouble setting it up but it went through 2 band recordings and the mic was stable despite the stand being pushed around.

Good for home studio usage

Got this item as a part of a Shure SM57 bundle (mic, stand and cable).

I intend to use the stand in my small home-studio where I record ideas on the go - and the stand seems to fit my purpose. The screws seem tight for now, haven't had an issue with them during the past week. I'm probably going to update this review after using the MS-2003 for a year or so to give more details on how they've fared with prolonged usage.

However, my main concern is the stability of the stand which doesn't seem particularly great. If you're planning on use it at home it'll probably do the job, but I'd definitely be afraid to put it on stage or with a more expensive mic during a session at my recording studio.

Overall, it's a nice microphone stand for the price but if you want stability, my advice would be to look further.

Good value mic stand

I've bought a pair of these to use as overhead mic stands and for acoustic instruments.

They feel reasonably sturdy, and come with the necessary adapters for both sizes of microphone clip. I've tried them with a large diaphragm condenser with a heavy metal chassis, and they stand up and balance reasonably well.

I've paid more for microphone stands that have felt cheaper than these, so I'm pretty happy with the purchase. All of the threads are of a decent quality, and they hold their position well.

A good, budget stand, struggles with heavier mics

I have a couple of these in the boot of my car, they are decent mic stands and have lasted a while. Struggle with heavier microphones, large diaphragm condensers etc.

Effective stand for its price point.

Ive had this stand for quite some time now and found it to be very reliable in most situations. I only use it for my home studio as I would not find it very durable or rugged enough for live gig situations.

Ive used it with quite a few different microphones and some of the heavier mic's do tend to put a strain on the stand. Just be careful so as to not tip the stand and damage your more expensive microphones. While it is not the best stand in the world it has yet to let me down. All I wanted it for was light use so I cannot really fault it.

Decent stand for the money

I've had the stand for a good while now so am in a position to rate it properly.

The rotating bits are all still working as they should - a problem I have had with other stands. They can be recommended on those grounds alone.

With heavier mics, one has to be careful with the boom extension - the stand will tip over if even slightly provoked. That said, it's just a matter of paying attention to the set-up.

I've had it a good while and it seems robust - so I can recommend it.

Standard Microphone Stand

This is a standard microphone stand that you can use on a home studio situation or basiclly anywhere where you won't mess with it a lot .

It's not high quality constructed and it's not very stable , so i won't use it as a working tool on concerts and live situations where i need something that won't cause be troubles ever , but as a second choise in my house where this are more controlable and less risky .

Not bad!

Great bang for the buck. I wasn't expecting much from this brand, I just needed a mic stand for some home recording but it turned out to be quite the useful little thing. I've handled all the stand brands in different studios and this one isn't too bad at all, all things considered.

Decent all round performer

I used this for live performances for about 5 years and it took a beating on the road and in venues with people bashing into it and walking on it. Over time is has been kicked and beaten into submission but it did a stand up job :-) for a number of years.

Pros: Light weight, easy to set up, took a beating before finally giving in. Cheap price!!

Cons: lost stability over time through use but again it took a hammering on the road so this is to be expected.

Overall: This is a good mic stand and I would recommend it to anyone on a budget.

Best suited for light items

Works well with light mics, I've been using it with the Rode NT1-A and it stays up indefinitely with some tweaking. It's been used live multiple times with no issue, however the balance does require some fiddling about.

Good Stand for the occasional user

I'm not a singer, and to prove that to my Bandmates once and for all, I decided to buy a cheap mic and Stand.

Fairly sturdy and does the job well, but some of the plastic bits seem a bit too cheap. Wouldn't want a drunk to fall on it though while doing the "Backwards Monitor Hurdles".

But there again, for the price, it's worth the risk - I wouldn't replace a broken one with a better stand. I'd replace it like for like.

Anyway, they still make me sing.

Good For The Price.

This mic stand is very good for what it is, Quite stable, can extend quite far and tall and still be fairly stable. Quality of material is good, solid metal makes for a professional look and good weight for stability.

Overall Very good.
