Not recommended! Broke after 3 months.

I was using this stand with a normal dynamic microphone and it was working for around 3 months. The problem started when I connected a bigger, condenser microphone (Rhode NT1A). It was too heavy for the stand and the arm was going down. After first try of fixing the screw in the stand tighter the whole part broke and I need to buy a new stand.

If you are need a cheap stand for a dynamic microphone and you wont change the position of the arm too often it might be a product for you, otherwise, buy a proper stand.

Poorly made

This was a replacement for my original that was poorly made. The Yoke/Hinge on which you adjust the angle of the mic stand is made of plastic and quite flimsy when being adjusted as if you don't adjust it correctly it weakens the joint and snaps the plastic.

As this is being used in a recording studio it does get used quite a bit in rehearsals as well as for recording, the theory of the design is quite good but put into practice and with the fact plastic has been used, it failed the field test when being used by musicians.

Pretty poor design really, waiting to see how long this one lasts before requiring a new one again.

Buy cheap, buy twice

Like so many others, my stand failed at the boom joint. Mainly because the joint is made from cheap, brittle plastic (terrible design), which broke in half during a live set. That it could could be used to hold two microphones was a nice feature, but is ultimately useless when it breaks so easily. Spend more and get a better quality product that will last.

Microphone Stand - Millenium MS-2005

The boom clamp on this stand is famously weak, and does not respond well to even infrequent adjusting, and will lose grip on the boom after a time and eventually break. A pity, since the rest of the stand cannot be flawed for this price bracket.

Absolute garbage.

I ordered 3 of these. All three were broken in under 1 month. Yes, it's easy to handle, I give it to it. But the first died when a singer set it without unscrewing the screw and it immediately destroyed the holding mechanism (a.k.a the plastic ridges that hold a rubber sheet together) and it no longer held. So I really looked after the other two but they both broke at the screw and fell into two pieces. Positive side: They can hold a relatively heavy microphone with the boom extended, even sideways. Negative side: They are absoulte garbage and your favourite microphone is going to end up falling onto the ground no matter what.

No Good

It broke within two lives. Untrusty mic stand. Not recommended at all.

Barely usable

Don't let the low price fool you, this mic stand is not worth it. The tightening system of the boom arm loosens and breaks down very quickly in regular use. After that you can't secure it in any position firmly anymore, even when using a light microphone. The materials are of poor quality and the overall feel of the stand is quite flimsy.

Better to buy a more expensive, but sturdier stand than pay less for something that breaks down quickly.

Bad one.

Right out of the box it was flimsy, the pivot piece broke apart from the nut that secured it after a few weeks.

If you want a good stand look for one entirely made out of metal or something better than just plastic for the pivot.

The rest is fine, no problem, quite robust in all other areas, but that critical piece breaking so early constituted a big downside and I was forced to glue the piece fixed on one position.

The worst mic stand

It is the worst stand I ve seen. It has a lot of plastic parts and after 3-4 uses it broke. Spent some money more and buy k&m.

Do not buy!

Don't buy this stand. Pay a little more for one with a different hinge/joint design. The boom arm joint is hopeless and will last only a couple of weeks. I have 6 broken ones of these in the attic for parts.

worthless

The plastic joint between the booms fell apart the first time I moved it! It is waysted money to buy it, and you can't even buy the joint as a spare part. Rubbish!!!

Poor quality

Fell apart within a year. The fitting between the stand and the boom broke so I glues it together. After a while it cracked again so that the boom would not lock. I still use it but as a straight stand. Sorry, could not recommend this.

worst. piece. of. crap. ever.

This broke the FIRST time we used it. The same thing happened with three different ones of said product. Note that we know how to handle equipment with care. DON'T buy this, If I could rate minus 100 stars I would probably do it. Waste of earths resources!!!

A faulse economy

This mic stand is of the poorest build quality. The flimsy adjuster screws at the join between boom and stand broke within 3 months of use as in order to make it strong enough to hold the weight on a microphone I had to tighten the screws so much that the tread was soon stripped. I guess you get what you pay for.

Not very well made at all

I have a few of these stands and every one of them broke within two-three months.

These are not made for gigging, the screw and plastic disc that acts as the pivot point will not take being opened and closed repeatedly.

Don't bother

Have had three of these. All broke at the same place, nut fell out at the boom join. Save you money and buy something decent.

What do you expect

This stand is extremely weak and simply falls apart. I wasn't surprised as it was such a cheap stand but I was disappointed. I would definitely recommend saving up and buying a more expensive and better lasting mic stand. These struggled with the weight of the microphones and nearly ever joint in them broke, leaving them useless.

Don't do it!

I bought a load of these stands a few years back and nearly all of them have fallen apart in one way or another. The tightening handle mechanism is less than useless, after a while it becomes unusable as the inside of the mecahanism cracks and doesn't tighten up. Its a poor design and poor quality. Shame on you Millenium!

mic stand

hi i got 2 of these mic stands one works ok the other one the boom wont work at all and that was right out of the box very poor quality can i change it for something better no because i did not use it right away thats bad

Finger weg!

Dieses Mikrofonstativ ist Günstig aber auch nicht von Guter Qualität!!! Als das Packet bei Mir ankam habe ich gedacht, dass es ein Super Stativ ist... ABER: Die Freude an dem Produkt verging schnell weil die Mutter, die Für die Befestigung des Galgens Dient, Herausgerissen wurde!!! Seit dem habe ich den Galgen weggemacht, sodass ich es als Gerades Mikrofonstativ verwenden kann.

Dieses steht aber nicht Gerade... Mitlerweile wurde das Stativ ausrangiert...

Mein Tipp: Lieber 10? mehr auf den Tisch legen und damit ein Stativ kaufen an dem die Freude nicht nach 5 Tagen vergeht!!!
