Not great

Unfortunately with this microphone stand you will get what you pay for. The tightening components are made of plastic and even though I have been very careful during use not to overtighten, eventually the parts did snap and the stand had to be thrown away. I have owned and handled many mic stands ove the years and this is just not adequately built for life on the road. It might be relatively ok if all you need is a stand in your studio, but my advice would be to spend a bit more and make sure you get one with all metal parts.

Not the best

I'm in an acoustic three piece band and also a wedding band so to say i use the mic stand a lot is fair to say. I've previously gotten shure micstands when buying microphones in a package however I'm afraid that I'm not a huge fan of this brand. The rotator section is not reliable and has actually broken since. I wouldn't purchase this brand again if it were me.

Undurable microphone stand.

I used MS-2005 for microphones, they were stable, But on all of them bolt that holds boom part broke.

It's cheap

The best thing I can tell about this product that it is cheap, really. I bought it for home usage. Barely used it, it just stood in the corner. It was a year old, when the plastic that holds the arm broke. You can buy a spare one, but I really think it not worth the price.

On the other hand the stability was good, and set it to the right position could be easier, but it was easy to handle.

Disappointed

It lasted for 6 months, then the boom broke of, but I can use it withoud the boom so it still has some use.

I wouldn't recommend it

It doesn't feel that stable. I think that the locking system doesn't work as well as the more traditional ones. It genuinely feels like it could fall apart when loosening it. I wouldn't buy this product again.

Not For General Use

A good stand if you are not taking it up and down all the time - Its plastic pressure screw between stand and boom means that the slightest over tighten and the Plastic Thread sheers. I have 6 that have all broken after three uses and have now bout more expensive stands which work much better

With stands you really get what you pay for.

The build quality of the Millenium stand family is not the best in business. Plastic is used in places where strength and stability is needed so if you are not really careful when opening the screws and hinges when adjusting the stand you could easily break it. This stand would be suitable for home or recording use but in a live situation i find this stand too weak and unstable. With stands it is really easy to see why some brands stands go for three to fives times higher price. If you want a microphone stand for home use this will suffice but live on stage I would go for the more expensive and sturdy models.

Broken after just a couple of uses

The plastic part that holds the arm got broken after a couple of uses. It just couldn't handle the pressure of the screws, although I didn't do anything extraordinary about it.

I won't buy it again.

cheap, but not long lasting!

I bought 9 of these for a studio project 1 year ago, the last of the nine has just broken, The hinge between the boom and the stand is terribly brittle and badly designed, Most of the breakages have been through people grabbing the stand and moving the position without loosening the screw. You could say "loosen the screw then" but the breakages have not been through misuse but entirely normal use, and have happened in both live and studio situations. This kind of treatment of mic stands is ALWAYS going to happen with singers and musicians, even sound engineers, and so, one by one, they will break or get broken for you. Unless you're 100% sure that only you will use the stands, adjust them etc, and will always loosen the screw and retighten it before adjustment, spend the extra fiver and get one with a decent hinge!

Waste of money

Took this out of the box and went to change the angle of the boom arm and 'boom' the arm came off. I was appalled. I tried fixing it, but it was truly broken.

The plus side was that I could use it as a straight mic stand, which wasn't really practical, although sufficed for practices. So at least I was able to use it in some form. Not the purpose I bought it to do.

I am very sceptical about this brand as it isn't the first time a product of theirs has broke on me the day of arrival.

I should mention that my friend got this stand latter as part of a bundle and the boom didn't fall of. However, his doesn't really support the mic very well, oftentimes drooping during a practice.

Get the next model up

These won't last you any real length of time. The swivel joint is plastic, if you tighten it enough to hold a heavy mic, you'll possibly break the joint (this happened to me) I bought two when I started out, I wouldn't dare put a condenser microphone on one. I use them for holding up blankets now, and they're fairly wobbly at that.

The Millenium MS-2003 costs less than ?5 more, none of mine have ever failed me.

Better to upgrade

I have had consistently bad experiences with these stands. They don't adjust well, pinch often, break easily, and tip over too much. Better to spend a little more on a Superlux or another cheap stand.

No boom

Great price however the slightest bit of over tightning you will loose the boom feature of this product as the plastic does not appear to be strong enough.

Do not buy!!

This is a bad quality mike stand! I bought 3 of these originally but the circular support in the middle which adjusts the angle of boom part will break on you after around 6 months which is a waste of 10euro if you ask me!!! Don't buy one! avoid at all costs!

Doesn't last long

I have used these stands for the last year on a small number of events. The metal clamp that holds the boom arm in place started to fail on every single stand after only a minimal amount of use. OK for long term use in one place. Once you start repeatedly tightening and loosening the clamps they begin to break. I wouldn't buy them again. Next time I'll spend the extra cash on higher quality stands.

You get what you play for.

It broke,.. after a week of having it. Oh well. If you're planning on buying it just be careful not to tighten it too hard because it's going to snap. It kept slipping so i decided to tighten it but I guess I over did it.

Duct tape fixed the problem lol

Edit: Over a year later and duct tape still holding it up together.

not the best

I bought a few of these to try them out as the price was really good. delivery was quick as always and they arrived in perfect condition. the issues with these stands are as follows the adjustable boom part of the stand doesn't last long before it starts to slip or fall with the weight of the mic. pay the extra few quid folks and buy a better stand

Not very sturdy

The clamping mechanism to hold the boom is very flimsy. I ordered three stands - already one cracked in half (the clamp is plastic) by being tightened down only slightly too much. I would not buy this kind again.

Millenium stands are super cheap, but quality should be better.

For me - this one lasts only 2-3 years after medium usage.

This peace of gear is good for rephearsal studios.
