Millenium PD-669 Stage Double Bass Pedal Reviews
Does the job!
I got this for my electric drum kit (Roland TD3) and it works lovely.
I haven't road tested it against the harsh treatment it might receive at gigs but it has been sturdy, reliable and feels good to play when I'm in my home studio.
Good value for the money!
Just bought this to go with my cheap practice kit, works like a dream, been using it around 5 years now and no problems to date, still looks brand new, all bars/pedals are metal, no cheap plastic nonsense. great buy, great deal.
Not recommended
The truth is: quality costs. In case you cannot afford any better or you don't know how to play double bass (and you are not interested using double bass pedals regularly) you can try these out. The pedals aren't very durable, the springs are likely to break pretty fast so I would invest into pair of spare springs with these. They'll do their job but if you are planning to use double bass pedals regularly I would buy something else.
Superb quality
My parents wanted to buy this for my son for Christmas they were most impressed by the quality for the money and if even came with a handy carry bag for transporting around!!
This is a good quality pedal for a decent price. I bought this for my band's drummer as we were doing more material that required a double kick. It came in its own carry case, which is also of a good quality. The pedal itself is easy to assemble and takes no time at all. It can of course, also be used as a single pedal, which our drummer has also done.
All in all, a solid pedal, good quality, easy to assemble and the mechanical parts are reliable.
Good pedal for anyone wanting to try out double kick.
I found the pedal to be quite good but having never used a double kick before I don't have much to compare it to. I would say that I have used the product for about 30 hours roughly and it is still working, well sort of . The way the axle that comes from the second pedal to attach to the beater side uses 2 screws to attach to a square peg. This peg rounded off quickly and then began to detach the axle rendering the pedal unusable as a double pedal as after about 8 hits it falls off. Think I would recommend to buy a slightly more expensive pedal if you were serious about double bass.
Millenium PD-669 Stage Double Bass Pedal
I bought this pedal as it was the cheapest i could find, however, i can not fault the pedal at all, just keep a check on all screws and ensure they are tightened using a drum key as extensive double bass (death metal extensive) can loosen them slightly, This does not cause an issue and for the price definitely worth it.
Good entry level double bass pedal
Great value for what you pay.
This was my first double bass pedal. I wanted to buy something cheap just to try it out.
But it turned out to be pretty good quality.
Good set of pedals!
Drums are not my main instrument, in fact it's more of a hobby than anything, but on all my drum kits I have been using a double bass pedal. And in all honesty I picked these solely based on the the price tag. They were the cheapest pair I could find.
To my surprise, they performed well over my expectations! They are adjustable, and they give a solid impression. They did not wobble, and there were no squiky sounds either. The build quality is good and I can definately recommend them.
Really nice touch with the included bag too, as I tend to bring the pedals to a rehearsal room.
Good starter double pedal
At about half the price of the nearest good double bass pedal, this sounded too good to be true. Luckily it wasn't and works pretty good. The only problem I've been having with it is the bar that connects the two pedals gets a bit creaky and loud but a bit of WD40 fixes that and you can't really notice it when you're playing anyway.
awesome pedal
Best for the price easily, the case is great to.
If you want a brand then you'll have to pay 4 times the money
but if you just want a really good super strong double pedal than this is it.
Oh.... and its fast too!
Basic, but solid.
This pedal is very basic as far as double bass pedals go, however it is sturdy and has so huge drawbacks. Works for it's intended purpose, however does not have that smooth feel you get with the big brands.
Only issue I've had with this was one of the springs snapped whilst playing, quickly remedied with a piece from an old keychain, easy part to replace at any rate.
Very good for the price!
For the price its got all the features of a very expensive pedal, very good build quality, would highly recommend to anyone looking for a cheap double kick pedal!
fantastic vfm
For the money, you can't lose. You'd be forgiven if you expected a piece of crap that felt light and nasty and fell to bits the minute you used it but you'll be amazed at this pedal. It's sturdy construction will please and in use it'll take take a bloody good stamping and beg for more. I've never had a pedal come with a case but this one comes with a very nice soft case with compartments for each pedal and for the supplied key and even for a set of sticks. In summary, a very good pedel for £100, but for £45! Astounding!
Lasted so long. Was in hard use and were broken down pretty fast, the almost exploded and i couldn't fix them anymore. But good pedals with nice price and for beginner should be good choise before you buy those expensive pedals. Works in training.
Amazingly good!!
I bought these just to test out double bass playing and I am amazed over how well these peadals work. When it comes to price there is nothing on the marke that can match them. They are just perfect for those who like to explore the world of double bass playing. Wether they will last and play as well remains to be seen but I am very pleased so far. By no means am I saying that the quality is top notch but for the price they are extremely good. No squeeking and adjustable to work just fine. If playing barefooted it could use som smoothing of the edges with a fine file or snding paper.
Do the job
These pedals seem fairly sturdy.
I bought these for the dummer in my band, who gives them some welly on double kicks!
He's happy with the sound quality, all though has mentioned they aren't as responsive as Iron Cobras and the like. But you can't compare the two, seeing as IC's are about 6 times the price!!!
They have had to have two screws replaced over the 5 years, which have come loose through general wear and tear, but these were easily bought for a few pence from a hardware store.
Despite the couple of loose screws, the beaters are in good nick and still sound great!
By no means top of the range pedals, but value for money wise 5/5!!
Very good quality.
Seeing as this is the cheapest double pedal could find, I was very impressed by the build quality. For instance, I was expecting the base plates to be made from plastic, but instead they are metal. I love how the pedals both feature a double chain drive, my single pedal which I was previously using only had a single chain drive, and I am impressed by this feature. The felt is harder than I was hoping for, which is great. The slave pedal runs smoothly as well - which is surprising because some higher end pedals struggle with this.
The only feature this double pedal lacks is a pair of weights on the beaters - not essential but it would be a nice touch.

Millenium PD-669 Stage Double Bass Pedal
I was acutely positively surprised by how good it is when considering how little I paid for it. It works fine with big pedals perfect for my boat sized feet. I've used it for six months and it's starting to show some wear, the batter-heads really needs to be replaced and the iron thing that the batter heads sits on is kinda bowed. it's after all not really that great, but it a solid option for those who don't have that big of a budget to spend.
Unbeatable , for double the price
I am an occasional drummer with little experience, but this was an easy to set up and play double pedal. A friend of mine, original drummer, commented posotively on this d-pedal. Seems to be sturdy and durable, time will tell. Nice touch was the bag included!
