Surprisingly useful! I bought one of these a few years ago and can't count the number of times it's come in handy. Particularly great for A/B testing preamps using the exact same mic and performance rather than doing multiple takes. So useful that I've bought a second one so I can test stuff in stereo! I've also used this live with my band to split a backing singer into a vocoder without needing 2 mics. It's not a super tough-feeling unit, but I've never had any durability issues in practice.

Works transparently, have no complaints. Pretty light, it wouldn’t add much weight to your rig. It doesn’t feel though it can survive tons of abuse. Ground lift toggles might break if you step on them, and you don’t have extra roof cover on top of them like Radial thingies do have for instance. The aluminium case doesn’t seem to be pretty thick, though I doubt it can easily break.

Great simple product - does exactly what it says

Great signal splitter, I use a pair of these to split mic signals between the PA and a recording interface and have never had a problem with them. Lightweight and small, would recommend!

Solid Unit

It has a great quality sound and has selectable ground and lift for each channel yet a lot of units like this only have a general one!

Its very sturdy and will be able to be thrown around in a bag or case while on tour!

It would be nice if the switches were a little bit more low profile, they could get knocked off if it gets thrown around too much.

Overall a fantastic buy for the cost!

Mic Splitter

This does exactly what you expect it to do. The signal is clean, it's solidly built and I use it to send one mic signal to a front of house desk and the other mic signal to a small monitor rig. It's a good quality product for the price.

Good for situations with poor P.A.

Sometimes you get to situations where the monitoring system is hardly present. Then with a splitbox and your own monitor you cn make you gig more pleasant

I always bring this on a live

I always use this to split signals when singers have their own vocal effects or to duplicate problematic instruments (ie accordions, acoustic guitars, feeble vocals) when mixing both stage and foh with entry level desks (with no routing functionality). Has been a life saver more than once. Not noisy and creates two copies + the original signal.

Great splitter

What's to say about a signal splitter, it works a treat, does not appear to degrade the signal at all and needs no phantom power. Solidly made with an earth lift on each output, spot on

No reason to split hairs with this splitter

Basically it does what it says on the tin (although built of steel!), XLR in and creates two XLR same feeds out, bought to enable me to in ear monitor our guitarist and bass player, therefore needing two units. Does exactly that without noise or interference, well built, compact, not in need of any external power.

Great little product

Great little box, I bought two so I could split the signal coming out of my summing mixer and no loss in level or any deterioration or coloration from the original program, great buy.
