Great sound and tuning

This recorder is great for practicing and solo playing. I'm very satisfied.

Beautiful recorder at very reasonable price

I bought this to play van eyck. It has a sweet tone. Very powerful on the Low registry. The bigger bore means it is a bit louder and requires more air. Also the larger holes and the 2-piece structure took me some time to adjust. Overall I am very happy.

Exceeded my expectations

It’s been many years since I played the recorder. I purchased this soprano for home use with friends.

The sound is much better than I imagined and I am very impressed. The materials and fit are excellent quality - I cannot fault. Spot-on!

A truly broad dynamic recorder

I love that the key holes are wider than a normal recorder- this makes it a lot easier to play alternative fingering for many notes. The sound is true to its model name as well - they are truly 'dreamy', broad and loud. I absolutely love it.

the perfect flute for busking.

the wide bore is excellent for being heard over passing cars. the extistence of an identical plastic model means my performances are consistent rain or shine. the tone is lovely and its easy to play.

Wonderful Mellow Sounding Recorder

I love how mellow this soprano recorder is. It has a beautiful tone and the lowest notes are powerful compared to a baroque style recorder. It looks great too. Very unique.

Mollenhauer dream flute

This recorder looks good and sounds good. It’s also nice and loud. My only complaint is that sometimes the notes in the highest register fail and I think that this is because I have quite small hands and the holes are quite big. Other than that a good instrument.

Very nice

A good low cost alternative to more 'authentic' alternatives. Easy to play and with familiar fingerings. The sound is good, and the intonation is even across the registers.

If it's about flutes, to feel the diffetent in sound quality you need to invest a lot. 100E flute will show some advance to 10E flute. And 500E flute will be better sounding than 100E flute.

So I can say - this model sounds quite better in high pitches than my 10E flute but to feel drastic improvement you need flute from higher shell.

F goes to flat

F note doesn't in tune. It goes to little flat.

This is a very nice recorder with a lovely round mellow sound. The larger bore, and fingerholes took me a while to sort out on the upper octave, but this was compounded by the fact that Mollenhauer had failed to clean out all of the sawdust from the bore, which I thought a bit lazy considering the price, which is why I've given quality only 4 stars.
