Mooer Ninety Orange Reviews
Very noisy
A lot of hum snd noise from this pedal.
Nice for portable set
I use this effect for my portable set of mooer effect which fits in a backpack. Great when you're going for practice. The sound is ok for the price.
Budget 90 Phaser
Exactly as I wanted it: on/off, one knob. Easy. The effect is quite present, it would have been nice to have a mix knob but it's ok. I use it only for a couple of songs so it does the job perfectly!
Hmm
It's not you, it's me.
I don't know about this one. Maybe I shouldn't comment at all, but here's my story anyway.
I used this in a keyboard setup with the Mooer phasing my EP sound in some songs. Did a great job at that, but from time to time it started to produce a weird loud hum all on its own (while not in use), remedied by stomp-on/stomp-off. Eventually I just stopped using it because of this.
I admit that this phaser may not have been the root of the problem, but the bottom line is that my setup is better off without it.
I needed it for one sound and it does that one sound well.
I needed to get a pedal that would do a slow subtle phase, and the Ninety Orange does that perfectly. The quality is as good as you'd expect from any Mooer pedal and it fits on the pedalboard nicely.
Great little pedal
Very simple pedal. I really like the vintage mode. It's basically a phase 90 on a budget.
Nice!
Value for money pedal!!!!
Great value phaser
This is a very simple one-knob compact phaser with a very small footprint (so it won't take a battery). It's well made in a solid metal case and a solid feeling footswitch.
The sound is good, I haven't directly compared it to the originals but I'm sure it sounds pretty close, with the extra flexibility of the vintage/modern voice.
The description says it has TRS inputs and outputs but I haven't tested it with TRS cables so can't comment on that.
It's a great sounding phaser and good value for money.
Nice compact Phase 90 copy
Great little pedal that nicely imitate Phase 90 without taking space on your board !!!
Great copy of the original!
It'll be no big secret for most guitarists, that this is a copy of a very famous phaser. Actually: of two well known phasers: both the 90 and the 45 version are (kind of) incorporated in this pedal. And all that in a tiny package!
Though this is an affordable copy, it's well built, despite it's size operating the knobs is actually very doable and most important of all: it sounds great!
The only quibble I have is that it's narrow build makes it prone to topple over if you step on it, so attaching it to a board is kind of a necessity.
Cool little phaser
Delivers very good sound for price range - reminds me of a certain famous orange phaser pedal! I would recommend to anyone looking for this type of effect. Very simple and easy to use. Works great with power adapter (havent tried battery)
Pretty meh, doesn't sound right
i used to have an MXR phase 90 and this pedal tries to sound like it but it sounds weird, in a bad way. The phase time cycle isn't right. A friend borroewd it for a few days an dhe had the same impression.
Solid, reasonably priced phaser
The Ninety-Orange is about as simple as it gets as far as pedals go; one switch and one knob are the only controls present, yet they're all you need to get ideal phaser tones.
The vintage mode provides a classic "warbly" phaser sound, whilst the modern mode is more akin to music from the 90s and beyond. Both are exactly as advertised and are very versatile.
The knob controls the speed of the phase effect, which does exactly what it says on the tin, an easy five stars for handling in that regard. The pedal loses a few stars as far as features go, as a little more control over the sound wouldn't go amiss- for a miniature sized pedal though, the Ninety-Orange does a superb job.
I can't really fault the sound quality, though as other reviewers have mentioned you may notice a slight drop in volume when cranking the speed knob.
Overall, I'd say for the price this is the best mini phaser on the market right now. Fantastic value for money, a decent range of sounds and superb build quality at a fraction of the price of big brand pedals offering the same thing.
Mooer Ninety Orange Review
One of the best pedals you can get in this price range.
The vintage mode is really great
I'm really a big fan of Mooer pedals but this particular one is really great. I was on the look out for a phaser pedal for my new band and stumbled across this one. The Ninety Orange pedal has a great sound to it and is so compact it's easy to fit into my extremely crowded pedal board. I prefer the vintage mode but there's also the modern mode, which makes this phase more versatile than the other phaser out there. Another great thing about this pedal is like half the price of the other phasers out there. It's half and price and comparable or maybe even better than the MXR 90 Phase.
Love this little phaser
After returning several other phasers due to lack of satisfaction with the tone, I was immediately thrilled to hear what the little Mooer can do. I like both the vintage and modern tones, and appreciate the simplicity of dealing with just one knob instead of three. Great phaser in a small and affordable package - now I can leave my strat at home and just play the Les Paul even for funk.
mooer ninety orange
Both settings offer some great sounds .. Another setting would add variety. But the simplicity of this pedal is also a strength . great phaser sounds.. Have used it at gigs. Would recommended x
