Very Nice Tool

Bought it for my active Electric Double Bass. I get rid a ton of buzz noise. Definetely worth it for the price!

Must have Pedal

If you have a particularly dirty sounding distortion or some poor quality/damaged cables, this really can filter it all out, excellent pedal

Simple and good

Really simple to use. Good quality.

Does the job, and does it well

No-nonsense, good quality noise gate, with a useful "hard/soft" setting. More than adequate for the job I needed - shutting up noisy guitar path when no useful signal was coming through, but without too much noticeable damage to tone and dynamics when intentionally played. Very nice size as well, so as not to take up too much space. Good , working pedal at a good price.

Pluged in and quiet! :)

Top product for this price, works like charm. Using with bit noisy P90 on my HB TE90 Trans red. Plugged it in, set on 50 and its quiet. Thanks and highly recomend!

Does it's job for a very fair price

I love this product, it's really good if you want to find a quality noise gate for a budget.

Great for the price!

While using it for modern high gain metal tones, the gate is responsive and doesn't cut any attack, tone thickness or any frequencies. Paired with a set of well defined pickups, I noticed a bit more clarity in multivoiced chords. Just tight, and for the price, no complaints.

Better then expected

I used to have a rack setup, but when I switched to a standard head i needed to get a pedalboard. Since I don't like a bulky board I went with all mini pedals.

This one works really good. Doesn't soak to much signal/sound. Easy to handle and hasn't let me down.

I'd rate it above a Ns-2.

All I needed

Simple noise control absolutely perfect. Takes a bit to find a happy medium but does a great job.

Does what it's supposed to

I use it every time I play to keep my single pickups from getting too noisy. It does what it's supposed to, is very compact and hasn't let me down yet. Definitely worth the price.

Does what it?s supposed to and costs next to nothing

I use it to control the feedback with my amplified harmonica rig. It works just fine and I didn?t notice any loss in tone. Although I never used it with a guitar so I can?t really say how it compares to much more expensive noise gates. For me, this is best bang for my buck.

Mooer for life!

As usual, Mooer is one of the best compromises between quality and price. In particular, this noise gate is able to cut properly your distortion background that came from your pedals. It has a knob to select the threshold and a switch for a soft or hard cut. It is very user-friendly and does the job very good! Very recommended!!!

A Great Asset

This review may be a little unusual because a drummer writes about the pedal for guitarists / bassists.

I play drums in Alternative Rock / Industrial band where guitarist plays Fender Telecaster using Vox AC-30 amplifier, and a bass player plays Gibson Thunderbird using Trace Elliot (4x10), and both have huge pedalboard with a bunch of pedals.

While playing, everything is great, but the minute we finish playing the song, then starts an abnormal noise, howling and humming.

Anyway, I find it really unbearable, so I decided to buy them both something to kill that noise.

The name of this pedal sounded promising to me - Noise Killer :)

Unfortunately, I'm not able to give you the technical details, but what I can say is that there is no noise in pause between two songs - AT ALL!

Sound of guitar and bass remains the same and you can really find that sweet spot on the pedal knob to kill all unwanted noise, but there's still a great sound with lot of sustain.

Everyone in the band are very pleased and Mooer Noise Killer proved to be excellent for the live performance too. Using two of those, now we have really clean sound and even some more complicated and fast phrases are more clearly heard because there's no additional noise.

If you play in really loud band and you like to talk with your band members between the songs - than you need this!

Mooer Noise Killer is really a great asset!

Good one

This is my first noise gate and I probably would not have bought it were it not for the price and size. having said that I'm very pleased to have taken the plunge as it actually works - and a lot better than I had hoped for. Operation is very simple which is good as you will need to make small adjustments depending on what gear you are using.

On high settings there was a small but perceivable shortening of sustain and dynamic playing is generally not quite as rewarding. However the tone seems otherwise unaltered and for recording and live this pedal often comes in handy, especially when dealing with computer screens and fluorescent lights with vintage guitars.

Mooer Noise Killer: excellent

I have other noise gates/ suppressors e.g. Boss, Artec, MXR, some of which offers more features. Fact is, I personally like simpler devices with minimal adjustments. This does the job that is expected. I cannot detect any tone alteration. The threshold knob basically works as a control for the reaction speed of the device.

I use it in a basic set up: single coil guitar (Tele or Strat), Boss Vintage Reverb, and Orange Micro Terror amp. Already at medium gain settings, the noise was far to high for my taste. I was not sure where to place a noise gate in this simple chain, as it should go after the distortion effect, before any delay (reverb). In my set up, distortion is produced by the the amp.

I just tried after the reverb effect, before the amp, and it works great. At medium gain setting, I set the threshold knob at 12 and any noise is cut as I stop playing.

I can only recommend it. Just consider it is very small (sort of cigarette pack size), so perhaps the best way to hold it to a pedal board is through plastic clips.

Does the job right

If you are single-coil player and suffer with an ungodly hiss, this will work for you perfectly. I have a setup of pretty big pedalboard, where hiss and hum are amplified with distortion, overdrive, phaser and octaver into something horrible. But this little device helps 100%.

I like it is very small (it is THAT small), it actually does not affects your sound (as long as you find the right settings) and it works real good, getting rid of hiss/hum entirely.

Tried with active and passive single coil jazz basses, piezo pickups with electric violin and electric upright bass (kontrabass), passive single-coil guitars. In each case hiss and noise is always different, but the Mooer Noise Killer can deal with each of them and does the job perfectly.

I would definitely recommend this gear to anyone.
