Amazing Sound!

The Moog Subsequent 37 is amazing. The build quality is excellent. The sound from this synth is extraordinary!

Almost a year after I bought it , it still amazes me with the capabilities it has. Definitely improved my dawless workflow for a number of reasons. About the sonic capabilities , I have no words. At first I was sceptical because it has a mono out but happily , I surpassed that . In the end it is a pro more than a con. It's an earthquake maker

Very good synth

I used the Moog Subsequent 37 for Electronic music production. The sound is really clean, warm and rich. If you're looking for an analogically synth this Moog is clearly for you. For the cons, note that you will have only 2 oscillators but sincerely it is enough.

For the communication with the DAW, I'm using Logic Pro X, just connect the USB cable and that's all. For the connection with your sound cable you will need a jack-jack cable.

First Synth

The Moog subsequent 37 was my first every synth. It was a very good decision to start my journey in music production with this beast since it's very easy to get used to and there's a lot of videos online to help you get used to it. Plus there's a ton of presets out there.

Nowadays since I'm mostly composing Industrial Techno I use Sub 37 for my sub-bases and mostly when composing Experimental.

Pros - Incredible high-quality sounds and clarity

The dual oscillators provide great flexibility and impressive freedom in sound design.

An impressive arpeggiator with step sequencing functions

direct control on windows.

Cons - There are no general downlights from my experience with Moog only that's my studio is too small and the sub 37 is quite large for 37 keys

- on the other hand, advanced users might fight the 37 keys very limiting.

- no cv output

I would strongly recommend to everyone especially beginners like me to get this Synth if you have the budget since it's a bit steep. The thing is, with Moog synthesizers, it’s hard to come up with reasons why you shouldn’t get one and explore its modulation possibilities. Get IT!

i will never sell it

I will never sell this synth, you buy it and you just know it's a great piece of gear with true analog power. If your looking for some powerful analog synth with some greatness from the Moog sound, this is it, go for it!

Great Synth, Classic

Great and useful sound, fun to play, reliable. Highly recommended.

Sick Bass

This is my first ever analog synth. I was really having a hard time to decide between the Grandmother and Sub37 but at the end this baby has so much power when It comes to low frequencies. I use it not only for bass lines but mostly when I am stuck in a track this beautiful synth always takes me somewhere else.

For performing live is very handy as you can save your own presets which you've used in your tracks and then when the time comes you just load it and you are ready to go.

I am in love with the sound as well, so characteristic from Moog. It brings a completely different vibe to my music.

Overall I am very happy with my purchase and eventually I will buy the Grandmother as well.

Moog is Moog, no words for it ! The prize is right

dreams come true

I was waiting SUB37 for long time and I cant describe how that is sounds, looks, feels, and having endless sound possibilities with analog path in digital domains. best synth ever!! don't thing twice to have it if you are looking for it.

Amazing synth

This is my first Moog synth and I love it.

I had my eyes on it since the previous sub 37 came out, but for some reason I always went for something else. I should have got it a long time ago, as it became my favorite piece of gear in the studio in just a few weeks!

Pros:

- It sounds amazing, both as a bass and a lead machine. I've been so inspired just by tweaking the factory presets. Its also a great sound design tool with loads of modulation options. Also great to create weird modular percussion.

- Build quality is also great, the wood sides look beautiful.

- Raw sound is great but using it some effects (reverb, tape delay, etc) opens up a whole new world of sonic possibilities .

- Vst Editor/Plugin works great and allows you to use it as a plugin in your daw and easily save and transfer new patches.

Fair Synth

Primary I bought this synth as my first Analog hardware instrument in order to explore possibilities of real synthesis in creative process.

I must admit synth offers a lot of options and made a fair entrance in world of additive/analog synthesis, as well as a real instrument opposed to lot of AU/VST units I have used in past.

Most surprisingly it offers a VST/AU integration and has nice resource as MIDI controller, too.

Generally It is as good entry synth into a MOOG "sound world", worth good enough for decent bass lines, arpeggios and sequences. It offers distinctive yet plain and warm sound, with classical touch which only few machines embody.

The hardware is durable, sturdy and it will last for years, oscillators are stable, however they demand tunning every while.
