Ok for the sound

Extremely limited unit, but still good sounding.

The AD is not usual one: with long Attack you will not reach the max voltage level.

The palette is limited but it sounds 'Moogish'.

If you want to use as second oscillator of a Mother 32 you will discover around 4 dBs less volume then M32 and so, if you mix with M32's mixer you will need to stay after 12 o'clock to have them at the same level. This makes them not easy to integrate: to use them together as a 2 osc unit changing their mix, you will need to touch the output volume level on M32 all the time.

Not feature-rich, but I can say I have a Moog :-)

Put this together last Christmas and had an excellent time doing so. It's not complicated at all if you have even a basic understanding of electronics. The CV expander, while a little flimsy, provides much-needed connection to other modular gear. Only one oscillator and filter, but that's to be expected at this price point, nevertheless it still has that unmistakable fat Moog sound.

it's quite amazing that this little machine sounds very moogy. It is limited, but I think that's the advantage that more authentic analog sound can come from this machine. I really like this

Je suis ravi. C'est un plaisir à monter. La fabrication est Solide et le son est de qualité. Le kit cv expander change tout car il est maintemant facile d'intégrer le werkstatt-01 à un système modulaire. Je recommande ce kit pour les amateurs de DIY.

Amazing entry Moog

I will say that the front plate took quite a bit of time and extra effort to screw on. You don't want to force the screws and avoid stripping them of course. But you just need to apply straight pressure. The sound is amazing and and its ALOT of fun!

Fantastic Little Synth

It sounds like a true Moog, besides being a really simple synth. The expander makes it soo much worth it, making it able to communicate with other modular and semi-modular synthesizers. And if you are into electronics and stuff like that, it's even better!! You have the same i/o for jumper wires!! Moog website has a whole section with tutorials about using this options. Overall it's a great entering way for modular synths and you will have tons of fun building it, apart for being super quick ^^'
