L'EQ perfetto!
à eccezionale, robusto, silenzioso e pulitissimo! Occhio che richiede 18v non 9v! I LED sono accecanti ma sono perfetti in situazioni dal vivo in cui non si vede bene. Consigliato
I can hear again... Really!
I chose this MXR 10 Band Equalizer Silver Bundle. I chose the Rockboard Pedalsafe Type D2 to cover, view and most importantly, to protect my MXR 10 Band Equalizer M108Sâ settings from being accidently moved. It fits nice and snug after a little fiddling but works like a charm. My reasons arenât like many other people. First off, I should mention that I am totally deaf in my right ear and partially deaf in my left which Iâve come just say âmy good earâ. My otolaryngologist and audiologist both agreed to help me find the absolute perfect frequency settings for me to hear everything that all of you hear by using their medical equipment machines and computers to perfectly adjust the MXR 10 Band Equalizer M108S that I bought here. Iâve been playing guitar since 1965 and I wasnât about to stop but I needed real help hearing it... all of it. This Pedalsafe cover is a God send, just as my MXR 10 Band Equalizer M108S that fits into it. Also, I have two baby grandchildren that when visiting grandpa, they love to walk all over my pedalboard to see and hear all the pretty lights and sounds. This puts my heart at ease to all of that. ð
smooth operator
Very good EQ. Clips not easily , less then a Boss. The 10 bands were a good choice instead of the 6. You can really shape the sound perfectly this way.
Because it is true bypass, it can offer some advantages sometimes. I put it next to the fuzzes so I can shape a fuzz sound like the graphic fuzz from EHX. Okay, no presets, but it's no problem comparing to the price. And I like the lightshow a lot. Like a robot from Battlestar Galactica. I am sure it even enhances my tone :)
Great eq, i like that you can cut the volume of your amp with it, and you can use it as a transparent drive with that gain slider.
Also 2 important features for me: it is 18 volts, so i can fit more pedals on my board using that output on truetone onespot12. And it has 2 outputs so i can split the signal and run delay and reverb in parallel (you just need a 3 way splitter after to combine the signals into one output cable
Very good guitar EQ
Great sound and quality! The power supply is 18V and it makes it difficult to operate at standard 9V.
Killer sound and blinding lights
I love this thing. It's fantastic. It gives you a ton of control over the sound and doubles as a volume/gain boost. It's sturdily built and the switch is solid and the sliders have a good feel to them.
My only gripes are:
1. It runs on 18v power (adapter included, but would have liked 12 or 9v as its more common in power supplies)
2. The LEDs are ABSOLUTELY BLINDING. I cannot emphasize this enough. This thing will light up in blue a dark room. If you are playing in a dark environment and look down at this thing it will blind you. I can't see my pedalboard when looking at it. Even when turned off, the volume and gain ones are STILL ON. It is infuriating.
Note: There's a hack of taking out the LEDs and putting them in backwards (don't do this while the device is powered) to make them not light up anymore, but then you can't tell when it's on anymore. I'll probably put black marker on them at some point.
To summarize, love the sound and quality, but dislike the 18v and HATE the LEDs. Still not taking it off my pedalboard, though.
Does everything you would ask from an EQ pedal!
Great for tone shaping, boosting or cleaning up your sound. The 18V power input really provides room for a lot of headroom which is nice if you want to boost your sound for solos. I usually use it in the FX loop of my amp as a mid booster for my solos, and does the job very well.
Amazing sound control :-o
You can desing your sound how you want
ONLY 18 V SUPLY - IS MAIN CONS! QUALITY - MAIN PROS!
It wrks great, but doesnt maintain power suply with 9 V, be aware! For studio use its ok, but for far placeds where you haven`t AC/DC (220/110) it will be big trouble, cause MXR EQ works only with its own adaptor, doesn`t works with Crona battery 9V (6LF22).
Anyway its MXR - looks cute, optimal size, sounds great, use it like "audio-microscope" for my recordings, and it works great. Like this brand but don`t think that is better than BOSS EQ7.
Perfect EQ at the end of the chain
It's a good EQ. Plenty of bands and an input gain + output volume. It's silent and it does what it has to do. The only downside are the LED's. I've read it before and it was also mentioned in demo's etc. but man... Those LED's are really really bright...
