L'EQ perfetto!

È eccezionale, robusto, silenzioso e pulitissimo! Occhio che richiede 18v non 9v! I LED sono accecanti ma sono perfetti in situazioni dal vivo in cui non si vede bene. Consigliato

I can hear again... Really!

I chose this MXR 10 Band Equalizer Silver Bundle. I chose the Rockboard Pedalsafe Type D2 to cover, view and most importantly, to protect my MXR 10 Band Equalizer M108S’ settings from being accidently moved. It fits nice and snug after a little fiddling but works like a charm. My reasons aren’t like many other people. First off, I should mention that I am totally deaf in my right ear and partially deaf in my left which I’ve come just say “my good ear”. My otolaryngologist and audiologist both agreed to help me find the absolute perfect frequency settings for me to hear everything that all of you hear by using their medical equipment machines and computers to perfectly adjust the MXR 10 Band Equalizer M108S that I bought here. I’ve been playing guitar since 1965 and I wasn’t about to stop but I needed real help hearing it... all of it. This Pedalsafe cover is a God send, just as my MXR 10 Band Equalizer M108S that fits into it. Also, I have two baby grandchildren that when visiting grandpa, they love to walk all over my pedalboard to see and hear all the pretty lights and sounds. This puts my heart at ease to all of that. 😊

smooth operator

Very good EQ. Clips not easily , less then a Boss. The 10 bands were a good choice instead of the 6. You can really shape the sound perfectly this way.

Because it is true bypass, it can offer some advantages sometimes. I put it next to the fuzzes so I can shape a fuzz sound like the graphic fuzz from EHX. Okay, no presets, but it's no problem comparing to the price. And I like the lightshow a lot. Like a robot from Battlestar Galactica. I am sure it even enhances my tone :)

Great eq, i like that you can cut the volume of your amp with it, and you can use it as a transparent drive with that gain slider.

Also 2 important features for me: it is 18 volts, so i can fit more pedals on my board using that output on truetone onespot12. And it has 2 outputs so i can split the signal and run delay and reverb in parallel (you just need a 3 way splitter after to combine the signals into one output cable

Very good guitar EQ

Great sound and quality! The power supply is 18V and it makes it difficult to operate at standard 9V.

Does everything you would ask from an EQ pedal!

Great for tone shaping, boosting or cleaning up your sound. The 18V power input really provides room for a lot of headroom which is nice if you want to boost your sound for solos. I usually use it in the FX loop of my amp as a mid booster for my solos, and does the job very well.

ONLY 18 V SUPLY - IS MAIN CONS! QUALITY - MAIN PROS!

It wrks great, but doesnt maintain power suply with 9 V, be aware! For studio use its ok, but for far placeds where you haven`t AC/DC (220/110) it will be big trouble, cause MXR EQ works only with its own adaptor, doesn`t works with Crona battery 9V (6LF22).

Anyway its MXR - looks cute, optimal size, sounds great, use it like "audio-microscope" for my recordings, and it works great. Like this brand but don`t think that is better than BOSS EQ7.

Perfect EQ at the end of the chain

It's a good EQ. Plenty of bands and an input gain + output volume. It's silent and it does what it has to do. The only downside are the LED's. I've read it before and it was also mentioned in demo's etc. but man... Those LED's are really really bright...

For that final tone-shaping

I use this EQ in my amp's effects loop for final fine-grained tweaking of my sound.

Ten bands give full control of the signal.

The only con is the bright LEDs, which don't even indicate whether the unit is engaged or not.

EQ for tone chasers

The MXR 10 Band EQ was the 2nd pedal I bought after the Revv G4 distortion. Tweaking the ultimate tone with both of these togheter is great.

I also started with my first pedalboard build and added the MXR Mini ISO-Brick as a PSU for both of these pedals, all works great togheter.

One thing to note is that the MXR 10 Band EQ requires a 18V PSU that is included but the MXR Mini ISO-Brick works great.

Perfect EQ for bass

I have a high-end bass with 2-band preamp which does not give many options for sound-shaping. As I previously have had good experiences with graphic equalizers I bought this MXR. I could immediately dial in the mids I have been missing and absorb the very high noisy frequencies. Works perfect! It does not affect any other effects in the chain.

Pros: Sturdy, easy operation, 2 outputs, true bypass.

Cons: The strong blue light from each drawbar might be annoying.

Master Controller

The sound is in your hands. I use this pedal alongside my marshall jvm 410c and an mxr reverb, one mxr distortion and the Ibanez tube screamer. It is reliable and you can control your sound easily without touching the other pedals. I recommend it hands down

A good one

I use it on guitar and bass and really happy with it.

Pros

With so many frequency options it is really easy to shape the sound to what I like. Not noisy.

There are two outputs so it can be used as a signal splitter. Very good option for recording.

Cons

The blue glow of the faders are a bit too bright for me. Dimmer lights would be easier on the eye, but not a big deal.

Overall quite happy with this eq.

Very decent

This EQ pedal is revelation to me because u can shape your tone to the smallest detail, 10 band frequencies allows you to do exactly that.

You Get What You Pay For

This is the one pedal that's in my signal chain no matter what.

I use this EQ for a mid boost and high pass filter on my guitar to cut through the other instruments and be clearly audible, and it serves its purpose well beyond my expectations.

To elaborate, not too many pedals have a full TEN band EQ and the fact that this one does makes a world of difference, you can adjust and tweak the EQ to perfection, no quality loss in the signal, no unwanted noise.

I also recently started using 2 amplifiers and the 2 outputs on this pedal gave me not only the perfect opportunity to split the signal without having to buy additional gear but also apply the EQ to both signals.

The gain and volume sliders interest me none and I always have them set to standard, but if you're looking for a volume or gain boost feature, it's got you covered.

Pros:

- 2 Outputs, as mentioned before, perfect for signal splitting into different amps.

- Easy to use

- Sleek, elegant, and sturdy design

Cons:

- Annoying lights, every single slider is lit in this annoyingly bright blue while the pedal is engaged, one light would have been enough.

- A bit pricey, but as a top of the shelf industry-standard EQ, and with the nice bonus of a signal splitter AND volume/gain boost on top of that, it's definitely worth it.

Works nicely with Marshall amps.

I use it to fine tune Marshall amps (Silver Jubilee and JVM410H) and it works perfectly. It sits in in Send/Return loop and it shapes the entire envelope perfectly. No sound loss, no dynamics lost, no noise. I even boost a signal a little bit in SJ, to get even more aggressive/metal sound. I recommend it without hesitation.

Tonal shaping monster

With this Eq. pedal you could manipulate your sound more than you could even imagine, you could easily make your single coil sound like humbuckers and vice versa and the gain slider drives the signal nicely as well.

Talk about control!

I use the MXR 10 EQ at the end of my pedal chain and it's the best piece of equipment I've gotten in recent times. If you're looking to shape your sound in a way that will both enhance your tone and zero in on the way you play, this is the piece for you. No more sagging frequencies, no loss in brightness. Especially for those who are finicky with their mids as I am, it will help you stay clear of that all-to-common boxy sound you get when trying to achieve those scooped mids on normal 3 band EQs, since you splice the troublesome frequencies to avoid it alltogether and still retain and addapt it to your playability. Solid construction, easy to use, no fuss and plays extremely well with others, can even tame some overly bright pedals without it affecting your other pedals.

Must have pedal

Using this Eq for like 5 months I never unplug it from my guitar. It makes the sound so light and clean and never had a problem with the guitar frequencies. If you have a cheap guitar consider buying this pedal and you will never regret it.
