The KEY to Music Production

I think this is the perfect MIDI-keyboard for it you are on a budget or if you travel a lot. The keyboard fits perfectly into 15''-laptop bags and doesn't take up too much space on a desk. Yet the 32 key layout feels just right and gives you enough flexibility to play complicated chords and it's a huge step up from anything under its price range! The software it comes with is high quality and very intuitive and the integration of the MIDI-keyboard is very good with the most common DAWs and plugins! I would honestly recommend this product to anyone looking for a MIDI-keyboard to jumpstart their music production career with!

Nice keys

The keyboard offers a good plastic quality and very nice keys. It is a pleasure to work with it. A little bit hard to get it work with Ableton Live, but there is a lot information how to do it. I guess Windows 10 is needed.

But once you do it, you will be happy with your purchase.

A fluid way to jam!

I highly recommend this MIDI keyboard if you are using Ableton Live 10 or above. The M32 is very easy to setup and comes with an absolute TON of additional FREE software.

The plugins it comes with are part of the Native Instruments library and honestly I do find myself using them in my productions.

Build quality is great. Key travel isn't massive but still enough to give a good feeling feedback when you are playing notes.

Looks great as well and you can basically control Ableton from this without really touching your mouse. You can skip through your arrangement view, play & stop, record in and change channel volumes all from the buttons on this MIDI controller.

Good small kontroller

After fighting a bit with installing the software on my mac running LPX, i finally got to enjoy the thing. It plays well with responsive keys and great layout. The sounds that are bundled are Great and the transport controls a blessing.

Great add on bundle for 99 bucks is well worth it.

All around a great addition to my tiny home studio.

hi, I am trying to establish home studio using Komplete Audio 2 with Komplete Kontrol M32, as I am not a professional, just to mention the installation went easily no problems at all.

The product looks good as I expected! Windows10/64b.

Love it!

I'm an active user of NI products. After 1 year of owning Komplete Kontrol S49 mk2 which I like a lot, I needed to switch my keyboard for something smaller. No doubt my choice fell on new M32.

So what can I say... Great product: looks nice, very lightweight, interface designed very smartly.

Keys are just good, size is like on Arturia Keystep. It's not Fatar keys, of course, but it's okay for playing and aren't in any way uncomfortable.

It's a very good option for any nomad musician who uses just software synthesizers for music producing (cause M32 doesn't have midi or cv gates).

Good if you use NI Instruments

I'm using the controller as my main composing tool together with Cubase and Garage Band. I purchased the smaller one (M32 version) because it has a smaller form factor, perfectly fitting on my desk, but still has a decent amount of keys. (A bit more than two octaves)

I was surprised how good you can play on the small keys, it's nearly perfect for me, since my fingers aren't that long.

The build quality is rather decent and the keyboard feels good and sturdy. Unfortunately my unit doesn't sit level on the desk, meaning it slightly wiggles a bit. It doesn't disrupt the feel while playing it so it's fine.

You also get quite an amount of software with the keyboard. I'd used the Komplete Kontrol software already, since I'd purchased two plugins from Native Instruments in the past and I really like their products since they are programmed with the user in mind and can be used quite intuitively.

The free sounds and instruments that come with it are also quite decent if you just want to start making music. Keep in mind, that the shipped sounds are more fitting for musicians in the electro/synth genres. You even get a light version of Maschine 2. I didn't test it though.

Since I'm composing orchestral music, I didn't use many of the shipped plugins but rather the plugins I'd purchase in some of their sale offers. It's really easy to install everything, and as soon as you load Komplete Kontrol into a track, you're good to go. I highly recommend to read the quick start guide found on the Native Instruments Homepage as well as to watch some videos on Youtube, since you can work with it quite faster if you know some tricks. Even if it's quite intuitive to use most of the time, there are some functions and workflows you can't find out by trial and error.

To use many of the features like scale, arp and parameter mapping, you need to use their plugin Komplete Kontrol. But this plugin allows you to include other plugins not officially supported by NKS (I guess every VST plugin) but it's not as straight forward as the supported plugins.

All in all its a good keyboard, especially for beginners. It has nice features compared to its price, but you have to consider, that its meant as a hardware product to be used with Native Instruments software.

Really happy!

The quality is superb, it feels really nice to make music with it. Maybe feature wise is lacking the drum pads and faders, but by the size and price in unbeatable. Also the software included is pretty neat. Keys are really confortable to work with and the knobs are also quite nice.

It's also kinda compact so, consider it as an entry level controller or as a mobile controller IF you have longer bagpack.

Great Starting Keyboard

Integrates perfectly with ableton, makings writing chords and melodies a doddle. Pots very reactive. Perfect for playing my Volca Keys! Comes with loads of software and freebies, I havent even scratched the surface really. If you can play the piano however I would advise one of the larger keyboards as the 32 keys are limiting for intricate playing.
