Superb!

Super and must have product for mixing and automations in the DAW. If I could improve that would be to add a LCD screen for the various I do of the channels and an extra line of controls for master channel

Excellent creative tool.

The product feels very sturdily built. All buttons / faders / pots are top quality and responsive. The product works seamlessly with Ableton as soon as you plug it in. It can be very easily customised like any MIDI controller. Even though you can access all tracks on your DAW, in practice I find this a bit awkward and confusing in a live performance and I end up only using the 8 tracks. That is the only limitation I can think of. Also, this product does not come with a USB-C cable, so you will need to use an adaptor or buy your own cable if you have a USB-C connection on your laptop. A big advantage of this product is the excellent Novation customer support as well.

Awesome product

I love it, its robust, lots of control in a small factor....my best friend when it comes to midi control!

Great value

Setup as a mixer with Ableton is super easy, it just works out of the box. It is also a pretty neat generic MIDI controller since you can assign 8 different user-templates to the unit.

Great value for money

The faders and knobs are so satisfying. Very versatile piece of gear. Use it in many of my setups. Better build quality than it's competitors in the same price range.

Really ultimate Ableton controller

Pros: Excellent features set "from the box" that is convenient to use in work with project. Can be used both with factory presets and in parallel with user. Enough for a large number of purposes.

It's a pity that there is no similar device with encoders.

Cons: Specifically, in my case, some led lights shine very badly.

Best controller and knobs

I love this controller... it last for several years and adapeted to many situation. Easy and hard ones Best knobs ever for a controller of this price.

Perfect device for timesaving and RSI prevention

I use this device in REAPER.

The reasons I wanted this is that I wanted to save time with mixing, by preserving creativity without using the mouse too much or doing repetitive tasks.

I also wanted more buttons for VST/send control and a motivation to apply more automation into my music.

The build quality is pretty good for this price. It has rubber on the bottom to avoid slipping, which is nice.

The machine is very easy to comprehend at first use.

The only con I have (because I use REAPER) is that panning doesn't work in the first factory template (which has 99% of the functionality) because of the HUI intergration.

But this minor issue can be worked around by assigning the pan knobs in the other factory templates or user templates.

Great midi controller, I used it for years live and in studio and it never disapointed me.

Seamless with Abelton

Works really well as a mixer in Ableton

I've not dived too deeply into this but it has a large amount of mapping features and a whole load of space for user templates.

I've just been mainly using it as a mixer, for filters and some effects. Very happy with it. The only thing is I installed the driver at the beginning which kept making Ableton crash as it thought it was an audio device. No issues since resolving this though and very handy to know have faders for different hardware in my templates

Amazing Controller

I use this controller mainly with Ableton Live and Max/Msp. It's great! It has many knobs you can easily midi map and they have a really good movement. It's the perfect midi control for live sets I worked so far. Totally worth it

Quality controller

Faders feel sturdy and so do the pots. Seamless Ableton Live integration. One thing that I missed though was the ability to switch from tracks 1-8 to 9-16 with one button, as the track switch buttons change one track at a time. Shouldn't be a real issue though.

its a very nice controller

if you dont have other controller like APC 40 then this is woth otherwise if you are planning to use as a side controller to some main controller you have its a bit useless for me... i think it works perfect with novation pad...

Must have equipment

This is absolutely must have equipment for Ableton Live beginners. Perfect integration with the DAW. Use it in tandem with Novation Launcher(s). Good quality, smooth faders and knob move, well built.

More than happy with it...

No set up hassle, instantly comunicates with most software, very intuitive and easy to use. Looks good and feels pretty solid.
