I had already decided to try the Sonic Stomp pedal for electric.guitar, when I noticed this. If you forget all about the enhancement processing and just consider the eq :- Bass, Parametric Mid, Treble - then the additional - Parametric notch filter - (just about the most effective method of preventing feedback from an acoustic instrument!), Then the balanced XLR output, (It's a DI box as well!) as well as line out if you have a dedicated monitor. Then notice that it all comes for around £145 - about half the price of anything really comparable. Then consider that you no longer need a dedicated monitor if you have vocal foldback. Then you have this additional sonic enhancement (phase correction) to experiment with. Is there really anything else needed to get your acoustic instrument...
Boss AD-10 Acoustic Preamp & FX
Based on 3 reviews
Don't know where to start. This product is actually a must for every Acoustic Guitar player. It is very hard to complain about it and the goods in this product are just so much that i really cannot keep listing them down so it is much better to just check out all reviews on Youtube and read the specs. Amazing product. Solidly built. The reverb isn't WOW like a Reverb pedal that you could buy, but it gives a simple nice natural reverb effect. Other then that it is perfect. Compressor, anti-feedback, delays, loop... all work just great.
Elite Acoustics Stompmix X4 Pedal Mixer
Based on 1 reviews
I was looking for a solution to reduce the size of my rig for solo gigs and open mics. I needed a mixer ideally that fitted on my board with 4 inputs and had onboard effects. The Gigmix version was a possible but what made me decide on the Stompmix was the ability to use a couple of condenser mics with the 48v phantom power for acoustic gigs. There is a small but functional colour display in the centre of the pedal surrounded by multifunction knobs and buttons. It took me about 5 minutes to figure it out without looking at the manual. All channels have reverb, EQ, pan, compressor, gate, notch, filter and phase invert. Only one channel can have delay applied at any one time which for me is on the vocal mic channel. It has 2 main outputs (L&R) that are standard TRS that I run to a...
Zoom AC-2 Acoustic Guitar FX
Based on 1 reviews
As a professional singer/ guitarist, I bought the Zoom AC-2 Acoustic Guitar FX to use for live acoustic gigs which I perform 6 nights a week. Overall, this is a great pedal and particularly good for the price. I use this pedal with an LR Baggs M1A magnetic pick up in a Guild Jumbo and it sounds great. The basic idea is to set the pedal to the type guitar your using and then tweak the sound with the EQ and that works great. However, playing around with the settings you soon realise that the other guitar styles can be used as presets for different tonal setups giving a huge amount of variability in sound. The tuner it really accurate and easy to use and the reverb is really nice. I think the ?bonus function? of the boost switch is brilliant as well and I use it a tonne more than I ever...
tc electronic BodyRez

I own a Taylor 214CEK DLX. The inbuilt Piezo pick-up system, ES2, sounds a bit thin. I wanted a simple solution to try and restore/add a little more body & warmth and restore the resonance without breaking the bank. I looked at many options that made similar claims but decided upon this one. I am running it along with the Zoom AC2 Acoustic Pedal into a Yamaha MG12XU mixer and I am getting a lovely warm tone using both pedals in tandem. Of sturdy metal construction, this pedal is so simple to use. Just plug in the instrument, dial in your preferred tone and off you go! A single foot-switch engages the pedal or activates the bypass. It is True Bypass and also does not convert your signal to digital, so no latency issues with a dry signal. It also has inbuilt Feedback Suppression via...
Boss VE-8 Acoustic Singer
Based on 10 reviews
I'm a soloist singer/guitarist for 21 years playing on cruise ships. I'm traveling with the acoustic singer all ready for 2 years on a different companys all over the world. And considering that my shows are quite different as a type of performing, the rationale and the construction of the pedal gives me all that I need for better performing. The futures and the effects for the microphone and guitar channel are quite substantial. And even that the looper it's only 80 seconds long, while programming it with external boss pedals as boss FS-7, honestly I never need more. The Setups are done very user friendly, especially if you play it live. The levels and the quality of the channels when I'm using the backing tracks are very controllable and sounds great. The acoustic...
L.R.Baggs Venue DI Pedal
Based on 5 reviews
I bought this preamp for playing electric fiddle live and have so far used it for my Bridge electric violin (piezo) and my acoustic violin with instrument microphone setup. I have also been able to use this for my taylor acoustic guitar. Very good solid quality preamp / DI pedal that makes gigging at different setups really easy. All controls at your feet, which is to me essential particularly as piezo violin can often sound very tinny through many standard PA's. I have also been able to feed this into my Marshall AD100 acoustic amp with excellent results. The tuner is really good and easy to use / see. The boost button is great for solos and/or a bit more oomph when playing with electric bands. I have previously owned a fishman preamp for many years but this to me is a great advance. I...
T-Rex Soulmate Acoustic
Based on 8 reviews
Overall, if you are looking for a one-stop-shop for acoustic guitar effects I would recommend giving this pedal a closer look. Originally I intended to order an EQ pedal simply to place acoustic guitar tone control directly at my feet. But then I changed my mind and decided to get the entire buffet that is the Soulmate Acoustic and never concern myself again with the acquisition of acoustic guitar effects. After almost a year without any problems I can say I'm satisfied with this purchase. I mostly use the EQ, compression, reverb, booster and tuner - the modulation, delay and looping are basically ignored. Feedback killer? Yeah I have to use that every now and then too :-) But overall everything sounds great, the product both looks and has proven itself robustly built and considering all...
Zoom A1X Four Acoustic FX Pedal
Based on 4 reviews
I use the Zoom A1X Four for chromatic harmonica. I love that there are presets for violin, trumpet, saxophone, harmonica and more respecting the timbre of the instrument. The preamp easily connects to an XLR (mic cable). I mainly use the delay and program the level or feedback to the expression pedal. I play jazz but also a lot of reggae shows for which the tape delay is an awesome effect. The octaver and chorus is also a nice feature. For blues harp it has a bullet mic simulator to get that typical crunch. For the price and range of effects there are no disadvantages to this pedal.
Fishman Platinum Stage Analog Preamp
Based on 7 reviews
I am using this preamp with a Kala Electro Acoustic Ukulele and it suits this instrument perfectly. The preamp has the ability to bring out the best from every string at every fret with clarity and with a pleasing dynamic range from soft to loud. The bass/middle/Treble controls work to shape the sound that you require giving the instrument a natural rounded sound. Am using with Roland cube monitors in stereo to complete my set up. A brilliant piece of kit at a reasonable price, well built and easy to use, controls sensibly located and input/output connections well sited on the side of the unit. Battery power (PP3) copes very well with what is required from the unit.
