Great value

This pedal is not a cheap Vertex Steel Stringer, but it IS a good drive pedal. I was after a Dumble like tone, but I felt that this just did not have enough subtlety in its drive - it got a bit too driven too quickly. That said, the sounds it does make are very good, and it again proves you do not have to spend fortunes to get a good sounding pedal. Look at some of the YouTube vids, and if you like the tone, you can't go wrong!

So-so

Sounded a bit fizzy and quite dark, I had to max the filter all the time. I didn't bond with it. When shaking the pedal I could hear something move inside, thus the 4/5 for quality.

Yes. Value for money. That does not mean that it is a bad pedal and you should only get it so that you don't spend much money. It is supposed to be cloning the Gladio and not the Vertex Steel String. I have played neither so I have no opinion on how it compares to them. It doesn't do clean easily. I don't even think it cleans at all unless you have it on minimum gain and get your volume knob down. Only reason I parted with it was because I tried my luck with the Vertex Ultraphonix Series. I had a good experience with it overall but don't expect it to do Dumble like the Ultraphonix does for instance.

A one-trick pony, but what a trick!

At this price point, don't walk, run to get one of these if the following applies to you: you like a clean on the edge of brakeup sustainy strat tone, you like a nice thick growl sustain, you want to be heard in a band mix and want to poke out. There is a stratty quality to this pedal's eq. It does mess with the bass end of your tone, but that is actually a good thing for a band mix.

Not what I expected

There seems to be a lot of hype around this pedal.

If you're looking for that Lenny/ Gravity type of tone, this is not it. To my ears, it sounds more like a TS type. Not a bad sound, but I not the clean boosting type of thing I expected. Also, it looks and feels a bit flimsy to me. So I've sended mine back.
