A tank but why so big

Built as a tank and works perfect, but why so big for one simple switch...

Could be smaller.

Well built , all metal sturdy box, does the job great , but it could be an idea smaller.

Great pedal

This Orange FS-1 pedal is great for channel changing on my Orange 35rt amp. Does the job well..

HUGE but solid.

the FS-1 is a channel switch pedal, wired to work on Orange amps (and very likely on lots of other brands too). it looks cool and very Orangey (yep, the operation LED is actually orange, and i love that). nothing shabby and cheap as Fender and Peavey footswitches, to name just a couple.

it requires a standard instrument cable (with 1/4' mono jacks), that means that NO, you have to buy it too, and YES, it has virtually no damageable parts (of course except the switch itself, that feels as solid and straightforward as a soviet tank), and doesn't force you to use a 5 metres cable if you need to put it less than 2 metres away from the amp...

the only real issue is that it's HUGE, and stupidly so. I guess it could have been just as solid and cool in 50% of its volume...

Bought this for an Orange Amp. Simple on / off switch, does the job.

Sturdy Pedal

I don't use this too often but it does exactly what it's meant to and works perfectly with the TH30. It also looks lovely!

Solid

This is the only footswitch I've ever had that people ask about after gigs, due to the typically funky Orange graphics!It's a sensible size. It's reasonably weighty so it won't wander round the stage and the white finish makes it easy to see.

Exactly what it should be.

Not much to say actually. This footswitch turned out to be smaller than I expected so it doesn't take much space on stage. It's also rather heavy, therefore it doesn't fly away (far) when you kick the switch in the middle of a song.

ORANGE FOOTSWITCH

Bought this on/off switch to be able to access effects swiftly and no fumbling about with the desk on stage at a live performance.

Simple two taps on the Orange footswitch and you have no effect for talking to your audience

Two more taps to turn off and have your effect for vocal colour also i wanted something i could see in the dark and with the bright orange light perfect.

I bought this item as Orange have been around for years and there reputation is excellent

sturdy and robust i know this footswitch will last me for years

Buy one and you will not be disappointed.

Strong decent footswitch

I bought this footswitch to complement the Orange CR120 amp head that I ordered.

Essentially this is for changing the amp channels only, you can get another switch that does that and switches on the reverb as well, but this one is the single channel switch.

It is certainly strong enough for gigging, I have used it many times without problem.

You will need a guitar cable to run it into the amp, just get the cheapest moulded plug cable that there is at the correct length you need, I quite like that system better than the all in one footswitch/cable.

The only issue I have found is that in a brightly lit rehearsal room you cannot really see if the light is lit or not.

Orange footswitch

This is basically a channel switching button. It is quite expensive for what it is but you get what you pay for. It is good build quality and rugged (it has withstood a drunken dancer fall on it without leaving a scratch!)

Very Solid Feeling Footswitch

Purchased this footswitch to switch channels on my new Orange CR60C and I have not been disappointed at all. The casing feels incredibly sturdy and the switch has a very satisfying click to it. The unit also looks the part, which is a nice feature despite having no effect on its operation. Overall a very solid switch, highly recommended.

simple and effective!

We got this pedal for our Orange Rocker 30 so we can switch between the natural and the dirty channel.

It's a durable metal box, fairly big for what it does but simple and effective.

It still works after 5 years!

A simple an durable switch

Nothing fancy, just one button to switch channels, but that's all you need.

Very durable box that can handle hard stomps in the heat of the moment.

Equipment Excellent - packaging poor

If you check out a couple of my other reviews this item was packaged with some other small items and the parcel split in transit. Fortunately the items were not lost and although the box was split the footswitch itself was undamaged.

As with all Orange equipment this is a solid, professional piece of kit that works well and is robust enough to last for decades.

orange fs-1 review

This product arrived very quickly and in perfect condition. This product is built to last, looks great and can really take a kicking. Overall this product could not serve its purpose any better, its stylish, sturdy and at a very good price.
