Perfect

I really like the sound and the size. Perfect to use at home and for live music.

Buy more guitars, buy more guitars, buy more guitars!!

I wish I didn't have this type of mentality when I was younger. I've been living with 8-10 inch speaker amps the entire time. This was my first 12 inch speaker cab and it just blew my mind how much fuller everything sounded. The difference between upgrading from a cheap speaker to a good one is so much more noticeable than upgrading from a cheap guitar to a good one.

Great Cab!

Perfect cab if you prefer V30 speakers.

The right cabinet for the Terror Stamp.

I ordered this box to go with the Terror Stamp, and it fits it perfectly in my opinion. It is very solidly built and sounds great. Basically, that's what I want in a speaker cabinet. And it also looks great! So far, I've found nothing negative about it.

Can't get better

Great sound, great craftmanship, and great looks.

I can't find anything negative to say about this. I use it as a cabinet for Orange Rockerverb 50H (mk1). They match very nicely.

This thing is aweSOME!

This is my first cab and I gotta say I was impressed by the very clear sound.

I mean I don't really have any point of reference apart from all the ugly combos I have played in the past, so this is my new standard. I paired it up with a Brent hinds Terror and lemme tell you, this thing roars!

I thought it was gonna be super small but I was wrong, the thing is 4 times my Orange rt20 which has been demoted now to be a kitchen amp which is by the way part of my new project "An amp for every room"

The PPC112 cab goes in my bedroom, it came to stay and my neighbors are hating it.

Perfect 1x12 cab

I use this cabinet mainly for band practice and gigging, and it's never let me down. It's lightweight and sounds great.

The sound is bigger and louder then you might expect for it's size. It's easily loud enough for band practice with a loud drummer. I play in a blues band, and it's got enough punch for the most dynamic of solo's. It's also very practical in a live setting, since guitar amps get miced most times anyway. I personally use it as a monitor, which works perfect for any size stage.

My main amps are the CR120 Head (also by orange), and the peavey classic 20 mh, both sound huge through this cab, both at low and high volumes.

Even though this cab is rated at 60 watts, it's a killer combination with my 120 watt orange head. The vintage 30 is a very loud speaker, so i'll never have to turn the amp up past 1/3 on the master (which is already in gigging territory volume wise), which should not hurt the cab at all.

Also, it looks awesome, but hey, it's a real orange so yeah ;)

I would recommend this cab to anyone looking for a loud, great sounding, compact and leightweight 1x12 cab.

Awesome colour, awesome cab

I bought this cab for live use and recording in a post rock/metal band. I'm blown away by the build quality and sound of this cab. I had considered buying a 2X12 or even 4X12 but decided to go with this for added portability reasoning that I could buy a second to expand my rig later. Honestly I have used this live several times and it creates a massive sound when paired with any amp I have tried.

The closed back design gives the extra bass I needed for my style of metal and rock. Other than that there are really no features to speak of. Solid design, it has a decent weight to it and feels like it will hold up to decades on the road.

I will be buying a second for myself to build a bigger rig and I would recommend this cab to anyone looking for a solid rock or metal cab.

Excellent 1x12 guitar cab!

I bought this cab to pair it with an Orange OR15 for rehearsals and live performances. It's a very well made cab with no flaws whatsoever.Nice tollex, tight grillcloth, generally really nice quality. It's bigger than i expected and heavier but that gives you more bass and a bigger cab feel. The cab has a Celestion Vintage 30 speaker which gives you nice mids and upper mids and tight bass. It's also very loud.I really like this cab and i can't find any cons about it.I believe that for the price,it's the best 1x12 cab out there.

Orange quality

I own two orange product one is this ppc112 cab and a Jim Root terror head, both of them are having great build quality. And its a great combination.

Inside this orange cab is a vintage 30 g12 cab, its always the standard for metal music. After experience with this for a while i found that this cab is very versatile its great for both high gain metal tone and Clear tone.

well built amp cab consider buying one if you are looking for a high and 112 cab.

Light weight, great sound!

I purchased this box to pair it with my ORANGE OR 15 head, as i was looking for a small, compact yet efficient speaker. And boy, is this efficient. First of all, it weighs almost nothing, so it's really easy to carry around the studio, cars, gigs... Second, this speciall stand that orange installs on their speakers seams to make a difference in the studio- this speaker just works great with anything you plug in, not just the Orange products. The sound is rich and balanced in mid, bottom and high range. But if you are planning to use this sole speaker only playing live, it may not be enough- depends on what music you play, as it tends to lack some bottom power with higher playing volumes, and due to it's close back, the sound can be a bit narrow. But that it really just the characteristic of a closed back speaker cabinets. I have also noticed that in the studio, the sound is better when using lower volumes. To anybody who is considering on buying this speaker i can only say: you won't regret it.

This is a great quality speaker cab.

I can use it as an extension to my Rockerverb Combo

or simply stuff my cheapy Micro Terror through it,

for jamming and small gigs.

And it's light which is even better!

Best 1x12 cab you can get!

It is not only about quality to price ratio, it is simply a great sound that comes from Celestion V30 enclosed in thick wood. Whenever you don't really need or cannot afford 2x12 or 4x12, this cabinet will do all the work.

If your intention is to buy an amp for practice or home recording, it is often a better option to buy a small head (like 1W Marshalls or 4W Voxs) instead of combos. Low wattage combos comes with smaller speakers which usually sound awful. This cab makes a perfect replacement for them!

Great feature is that it has a plug for a parallel connection. So even though it is 16Ohm, you can connect two of them and have 8Ohm easily.

It's an Orange

I bought this for studio use. I run an Orange micro or tiny terror (depending what I'm doing) through it and it definitely produces that brilliant Orange tone. I generally am using it for more rock/metal sounds, and can't really comment on its use for clean or quieter tones.

I am immensely pleased with the quality of the tone from this cabinet. Warm is really the best word for it. It really does justice to a good head like the tiny terror, and I have gotten great use from it as my main recording cabinet.

The build quality is impeccable. I believe plywood or MDF is what it's made of but I'm not certain. The tolex covering is perfect and there are no rough edges to be found anywhere.

To top it all off, like all Orange products it looks amazing!

Best 1x12 cabinet

For my Marshall JCM1 head I was looking for a small good sounding cabinet with a Celestion Vintage 30. There are many cabinets from about 100 to 500 Euro. This one is mid priced. I like the look from these orange cabinets. Very old school and timeless.

The build in Celestion is a 16 Ohm speaker. The break in time is very short. It sounds very good right from the beginning. The Vintage 30 is a very good speaker. There are no noisy highs.

This cabinets are made in china with a very good quality. The tolex is very well glued and the speaker textile is tight.

The only diadvantage I can say, that is not that easy to mic this cab, because you can not se the speaker, when you are in front of it. Go some steps back and you will see the Celestion. It is centered in the cabinet.

Yesterday I played with my Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier through the cabinet. It sounded big, clear and powerfull nearly like my 4x12 Marshall cabinet and this at bedroom level!

Orange PPC112 review

A cool looking and reasonably priced 1 X 12 from Orange. I bought this to be used with my OR15-head and they work together nicely. The finishing is good and the cab is heavy which intends that it has a lot of wood in it. It's a closed back cab and delivers pretty big sounds even though is small. The speaker is Celestion Vintage 30 which tends to be spiky with some amps and guitars. With the right amp and guitar it sounds sweet though. Overall I think its good value for your money.

Nice ugrade for my Blackstar.

I have very good guitar combo Blackstar Studio 20.

It have good old school sound.

But when I add Orange cab with great vintage dynamic to my Blackstar I get more dense and deep sound.

Very nice and stylish orange cab.

A nice companion to Orange heads

This cab was purchased to become a companion to my Orange Dark Terror. As I received the cab I was really impressed with the build quality. The cab weighs about 15 kg and is very sturdy and well put together. When I plugged this speaker in I was really disappointed and immediately wanted to go back to my old speaker. The speaker had really harsh highs and was kind of nasally in the mids (well, it has a Vintage 30 in it, it's supposed to be quite middy) and the sound character was constantly changing as I was playing. But don't let this deceive you and write the cab off as a piece of garbage. If you read online about guitar speakers (especially new ones) you'll read about something called speaker "break in". My previous cab was about 10 years old (long broken in) and I really didn't remember what kind of stages a speaker goes through during break in time. I researched various break in techniques and one of them was simple: play clean, pretty loud but not painful for 10-15 minutes, use your mid switch position and it should take care of about 90% break it characteristics. And it worked. A week after I got the cab, the constant tonal changes seized and the speaker settled at its final character. The highs smoothed out, the mids are not nasally anymore and the lows are just great. I use this cab along with the Dark Terror for old school thrash and I'm not disappointed at all. The speaker gives you very focused lows on those palm mutes. Every note is distinct even at fast tempos and the leads just sound mind blowing. I am very happy with the cab now. If you get this cab, before you pass final judgements, play through it, let the cone move and I guarantee you that after the initial break it you won't be be able to go any other speaker.
