Bang for your buck; and then some

This was surprising to me, I got this cymbal to pair with the same PST5 series 18'' '14 Crash / Ride and I must say that for most of the punk rock / loud / metal stuff I usually play, this blew the other cymbal out of the water. It crashed louder, in an assertive way, and proved suitable for crash / riding in loud contexts. Less washiness and sustain though, when compared, but still a very good practical crash cymbal that does its job brilliantly.

Efficiency!

Price point, price point, price point!

Never played a cymbal, that was more suited to my mostly too aggressive black metal drumming.

Its not expensive and the sound is pretty decent: the high notes hit hard and loud and it has a pretty short decay - which i like.

I'm sure there are sharper cymbals out there, but since I'm always on a tight budget this fits my purpose perfectly.

Lovely addition to a kit

The PST series from Paiste is definitely growing on me and the 14" medium crash is another nice cymbal to add to a kit. I good sounding crash with a melodic wash which works well alone or in tandem with darker cymbals.

I've used it for a single gig so far and it will be staying as a permanent piece on the kit. The quality of the PST5 is surprising given the cost and, if you are looking for a mid range cymbal to add to your kit, I would look no further.
