did not know this was a thing but damn if it is't great to have connect 2 cabs and get a double full stack if you want

Does exactly what it you need it to.

Have used this with valve amps to balance impedance, kempers and other digital units and has never let me down for a tour!

Perfect tool for hooking up extra cabinets.

This little box is great for hooking op multiple speaker cabinets to your amp, it even has all the ohms calculations laid out on it so you don’t damage your tube amp. I have already and will continue to recommend this product to anyone who might need one.

Palmer have got it cracked. I have a couple of these and they make pairing cabs a doddle.

it does better than advertised

I bought this because I read some reviews stating that this is a problem-solver in the case of cabs with different impedance. Then I read the instructions, and it clearly says that it should NOT be used with cabs of different impedances.

Long story short: I use it with 1 x 4 Ohm and 1 x 8 Ohm cabs, and neither the cabs not the amp (which has a maximum load of 4 Ohm) had any problems. Maybe, if I push the master at peak, the amp may warm up too much, but at 3/4 the air that comes out is still cool.

A great helper for connecting multiple guitar cabinets when your amplifier does not have the output option required by Ohm

Simple but great

Great piece of equipment. Does what it needs to do, built very well and with the instructions printed on it's hard to use it wrong. Used it to attach 2 different cabs to my lab series head.

Very useful device

I bought it to connect my two cabs (Laboga 212 V30 and Marshall 1936 Lead) and it works great!

Very useful information printed on device how to connect cabs (serial or pararell) to get desired OHM value. You won't be alble to make any mistake. I strongly reccomend it if you want to connect two cabs together.

Good problem solver

I use this for connecting various cabs to various tube amp heads. The Palmer device allows me to use combinations of two cabs without impedance mismatch issues, eg two 8 ohm cabs into a 16 ohm output.

I agree with another reviewer on two points:

1. The text rubs off quite easily. I've sprayed some clear acrylic on it to help reduce this.

2. Can be a squeeze if you use super chunky speaker cables.

However, overall. excellent little problem solver and good value for money.

Very good option if want to merge one amp and two cabs.

Easy, trustworthy and consistent.

Plus, it's nor expensive and it does not change the way your amp sounds.

i had to tape up one of my speaker cable ends, because the outputs were too close together and the cables were contacting each other.

works great after i figured that out! I have a 1x8 and a 1x12 cab that i use with my orange micro-dark. they sound great stacked!!

The magic tool everyone should have....

...if you're that kind of guy full of different guitar cabs and amps in your house ;) Not having the right impedence in your cabs and/or amps is not a problem anymore

Decent build and easy to use.

It's very easy to use, the schematic on top of the box makes everything clear... Just take notes of it or label the inputs because the schematic isn't that readable after a while, the letters fade.

Also, when using certain speaker cables it's hard to put them all in, the inputs are too close to each other for certain speaker cables.

I've used it for example to send a tiny terror to a 4 x 10 and 2 x 12 (both vintage celestion speakers)

Allowing me to exploit the differant tonal characteristics of both cabinets.

Fantastic gadget

Brilliant piece of kit from those clever people at Palmer. I don't know why nobody came up with this sooner, Fantastic solution for mis matched loads and amplifier heads. Two 8 Ohm cabs with a 16 Ohm head? No problem, this will route the cabs in series to produce 16 Ohms, or parallel for 4 Ohms when required. Basically gives you options for parallel or series loads and could potentially save you a lot of cash....Nicely made and simple to use

brilliant for connecting 2 speaker cabs to amps with only one output.used with a valveking mini head and an orange micro terror.much cheaper then getting your cabs rewired by a tech for correct impedance.
