A great DI

I use this DI box when we have a gig and i need to connect my keyboard to the mixer of the pub and also to my monitor. Even more often i use it at home for silent rehearsals to connect guitars to a multichannel audio interface.

It has very good sound. It is easy to use and separates well some noises that would otherwise come via the guitar (and many pedals) in our case. Price is not high for what you get.

No cons so far.

Very reliable and durable

One of the best price to quality ratio DI's in my opinion. I've dropped them and otherwise handeled roughly and never broken one.

Would buy again.

Very good DI Unit

Very transparent and reliable DI unit, ideal for keyboardists and various instrumentalists that need to balance stereo channels.

Great reliable DI box

Get this if you need a cheap DI box that will last! a cheap passive box is allways prefered over a cheap active box! I've meassured these boxes and their frequency response is perfectly flat!

The only downside is that the pad/ground lift buttons are slightly confusing, and at least I have to look at the info printed on top for a couple of seconds before figuring out when they are engaged and not. And personally I think it would make more sense to have the -30db pad being engaged when the button is in the pushed in possition.

The metal box is not as rugged as a more expensive radial box but it probably wont buckle unless you drop something really heavy on it.

Amazing price for DI Box

Get 2 channels for only a little more than the price of one, or half the price of the most popular DI box.

Although this is passive, so you can't use it with a battery, but that is no issue for me.

Works really well, it's solidly built and sturdy. I use it in a studio, so it doesn't have to be put through as much stress as for live, which is probably where some of the more expensive ones would be better.

Sounds great

This DI sounds great. It isn't as transparent as a Radial J48, but it really sounds great. I often use it on Novation Bass Station 2 and it sounds better through this DI than it does through the J48 or directly to a line input of a console.

Even if it were a single channel DI, it would be still great for the price.

The connectors are also reliable.

The only downside is that the chassis isn't very well protected and the paint can start chipping off if you throw it around too much. It isn't bad, though. If you take care, it can certainly last for ages. Mine still looks like new.

Nice DI box, steady&quality! ))

I bought couple of this DI boxes. It sounds perfect to me.

I also have some Radial DI. If compare them I prefer Palmer

because of price range and the same quality of the sound.

And by the way it's German quality!

I don't think that the weight of Palmer's DI box is problem.

I have checked it for keyboard, guitar processor,

sampling pad. It's good for the any stereo source of output.

Heavy-duty passive DI

Very well built passive DI, sounds very good, transparent to me, or at least it's musical if there is any slight coloration. It's built like a tank, you can probably step on it (no guarantees though, I didn't try!). It feels like some Radial boxes I have in build quality, also good for stage work especially that the buttons are a bit protected by the frame that extends longer than the buttons reach in their out position. It's has some weight to it physically, so if you need 10 DIs for live and lug them around yourself, look for something a little lighter - I use this in the studio to a stage box and that works fine; the weight is a positive there so it stays in place nicely.

Exactly what I needed

I bought two of this product so that I could send two stereo keyboards to the front-of-house, while using the link-outputs into my own personal mixer for in-ear monitoring. They have both worked perfectly!

Very nice DI-box for keyboad elpiano

I have several of these. I have found it working very well on elpiano, keyboards, laptops, video players etc. While passive, you can use it almost everywhere, where you need a two channel or stereo set up.

Sound quality is good, and the pricing is buyer friendly.

Good quality DI

Does what it says on the tin.

Excellent build quality and a reliable unit. I have had no problems using this as my main DI for connecting keyboards to various PA systems. I recommend all keyboard players who are gigging to get their own DI, because otherwise you never know what's going to be there. If you get a good quality passive DI then actually they sound fine and you never have to worry about batteries, PSUs or whether someone else is going to switch on the phantom power.

Recommended.

Solid, well-featured

Build quality is very solid, and switches are protected by frame. Good to have a pad as well as lift - especially at this price. Sound is sweet - it's a passive so it's not going to sound 100% transparent. We occasionally use it for vocals and I've been impressed with how well it sounds on them.
