Muffle it good and you got a funk beast

Just what the title says: I muffle this heavily by putting in a foam muffler, the pillow that comes in with the bass drum purchase as well as a bunch of cloths touching the resonant head.

I play funk with it and I am extremely happy! It has a deep sound with small but nonzero sustain. The beater head I use produces a warm-like attack, which feels like we have low filter goin' on. It is pretty cool!!!

I used to own a pearl export set many years ago and I remembered from back then that the bass drum was sounding amazing!
