Optimal board

I use this board with a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus mounted bellow.

There is plenty of space to install 10 to 12 pedals on this board. The steal seems robust. And the whole board is quite light. I store it bellow my desk when not playing.

No cons to advance.

If I end up with too many pedals to fit on this one, I would rather by another one this size than a bigger, difficult to manipulate, board.

Good Quality, Lightweight

Built like a tank. The soft case looks nice and durable so far as well as the strap and handles...

Simple & Effective

There's nothing much to say about this pedalboard, it's the industry standard. It's a solid board, relatively light weight, and plenty versatile if you don't run too complicated set-ups. It feels rugged and this thing can probably survive a nuclear war. The gigbag actually feels pretty decent as well. I'd fully trust taking it to gigs in the softcase. Overall it's just a really good product and doesn't break the bank like some "boutique" pedalboards.

Dump-proof

Super light, does the job. What's not to like? Fits Voodoo 2 Plus Power Supply, Morley BH, DIgitech Whammy, tuner, Pitch Factor Eventide and an OD. Could probably fit another one or maybe 2 Boss size pedals if you push it...How many more do you need????

The Pedaltrain Classic 2 is a professional staple around the world, from the smallest to the largest stages. Mine includes 11 pedals and cabling so it's more than big enough for most scenarios. It comes with enough velcro to kit it out and the soft case is more than adequate for carrying it to most gigs.

Pros: good price, light, well made, large pedalboard, includes bag/velcro and all you need

Cons: can't find any

Solid...easy to use...just love it

Light, effective and well built

The Pedaltrain Classic 2 SC is a simple but effective solution: I fitted 7 pedals of different size (from mini Mooer to larger sized multiFX such as the Boss GP10). The provided velcro was of adequate quality, and the bag is very handy.

Pros: cost-effective, light, well built, large space available, includes bag and velcro

Cons: none

Good for the money, shame about the soft case.

The ground clearance on this is barely enough to fit any of the chunkier power adapters underneath.

The included velcro is a bit crap. If you want to lock things down you will probably want to get to use 3m dual lock instead.

The slatted design is great for cable management, way easier to deal with than the normal flat slab pedalboards.

I'd suggest getting the hard case unless you travel on public transport a lot. The soft case isn't very stiff or padded, it's really more of a bag.

A standard pedalboard

Use:

Got this for my bandmate as main pedalboard.

Pros:

Lighter than similar sized pedalboards from other manufacturers.

Looks and feels sturdy.

Cons:

Has no option to mount a power supply.

Bag has no additional compartments for other stuff (cables etc.)

Conclusion:

A great price/performance pedalboard. That will last for a lifetime.

Great board

The quality is awesome, but I would prefer that the gigbag has one pocket outside so I can put my guitar cables there.

Also, it would be nice if there were some metal "adapter" so you can fit more pedals in the holes between.

Pedaltrain Classic 2

This is a very known product in these times of pedalcrazy maniacs in a pedalcrazy communion so there is not a much to say. Classic, very light, sturdy, good looking and all of that at a fair price! I actually managed to put 11 pedal on the top, Whammy being one of them! Included velcro is great too, could lift the whole board by holding only one pedal, but it would be better if they decide to put a dual lock system with their boards in the future.

Great choice

Steady construction. An all time classic choice. It offers what it says. The bag, also seems to be preety strong. I havent put the shoulder cause in a previous pedaltrain model I had, it ruined thestiched joints. I miss the zipped sleeve in the previous models' bags though.

Good, sturdy, lightweight pedalboard!

Came with everything you need to put your setup together. It's nice and lightweight too being made of aluminium. Soft carry case is of good build quality also!

Awesome pedal board

My main goal, when i was choosing for a pedal board was that it should be compact enough, so i can carry it by hand, and big enough to fit most of my pedals, previously i used Warwick's biggest aluminium hard case. Pedal train classic 2 was the way to go for me.

Straight out of the box, the soft case feels very durable, fabric is nice and thick, and the zipper is very heavy duty. The case also comes with a shoulder strap. The board it self is made out of aluminium, therefore it is light.

There is enough Velcro for all the board, and also comes with zip ties, so the cables could be zipped safely. Construction wise it is a genius unit, because of the rails, you can run all your cables thru the pedal board, and by that keep a neat and clean look, also its safer when you dont step on your cables all the time.

I was able to fit 9 pedals on it, even having one boss double pedal, and one huge vintage pedal. Probably it could take 12-15 modern size pedals, which is nice for a board sized like this.

Overall impression is very good, quality is great, and im happy with my purchase. Highly recommended.

Pedaltrain Classic 2 SC

Having set (for personal use) several Pedaltrain boards during the last few years, I trust that the Classic 2 SC is the optimal choice for the average musician.

In support of this, a pedal board should offer good portability (i.e. smaller size and reasonable weight), carry 8-10 pedals plus a looper/switcher, be able to sustain an extra power supply underneath, provide enough space for proper cable management and even accommodate a neat LED controller with a 2,5m LED stripe, if you prefer to.

The Classic 2 SC fits perfectly into that description (I have done this) and personally I wouldn't ask for more (especially if the board will travel a lot).

Very nice pedal board, it comes highly recommended.

A great pedalboard to own

I highly recommend this pedal board. I have switched from a Palmer Pedalbay 40 to this pedal board because I needed an upgrade space-wise. I was happy with the Pedalbay because it was my first pedal board and I didn't know any different at the time.

I use the case from the PedalTrain nano to carry around my DPA 4099 and Schertler YELLOW blender and I was very happy with the case, therefore I thought the PedalTrain would be an upgrade from the soft flimsy case that the Palmer supplies.

The case is just okay, which is why I didn't give the quality of the case five stars. It has a nice protective layer but I feel like it lacks a little more padding that you get with the PedalTrain nano bag.

The board itself, however, is a great board. It's very sturdy and when you hold it it feels very solid in your hands, like you know that it's not going to crumble if you decided you wanted to jump up and down on it.

The height off of the ground is also high enough that I could fit my custom power setup from thegigrig.com underneath it without any hassle. I definitely recommend this pedal board as an upgrade.

However, don't go from the dimensions on the pedaltrain pedal board builder website. They're a little bit off with the size of the Digitech Whammy and don't have all of the pedals that you might be sizing up.

Pedaltrain Classic

I already own Pedaltrain Classic JR SC, so this was not surprise. Plenty of room on this one. I use this one for send and return on my Mesa Boogie, mostly for digital effects. This time I bought little bigger pedalboard because I always end up with more pedals. Quality of this product is great, but I would like some extra pockets for cables and stuff.
