Pedaltrain Novo 32 SC Reviews
Ultimate pedal solution
This is built like a tank, really well made, lightweight, and perfectly designed for mounting pedals securely, whilst having excellent access for cabling. There was enough (super tough) velcro supplied to cover the full length of each rail, with some spare.
Suggest you stick the fluffy, softer side to the board as it doesn't pick up bits you can't remove.
Once attached, pedals stay perfectly in place and don't move about when using them. This is helped by the large, flat tops of the rails.
Cables can be routed anywhere you could want and zip tied in place easily.
Can't think of any improvement to this product, except to supply it with more zip ties.
The completely 'open plan' design (not having integrated cable / power as part of the board as some manufacturers make) was a bonus for me as it's to total blank canvas you are free to lay out and wire to your exact preferences, whatever your needs.
does the job wel
the board is really big. i have a bluguitar amp, so my whole rig is on this board. the quality and craftmanship is great
You can't go wrong with this one
Excellent pedalboard, this thing is light and solid! Also, the velcro is pretty stable. Had the novo 24 but upgraded to this one about a year now. Very satisfied with the result!
If you have many pedals this is your pedalboard.
I wanted a pedalboard to fit all the non used pedals.
Good quality, robust. Its a 5/5 from me.
Super solid and Efficient
This pedalboard can host a large variety of pedals withouth any problem.
It comes with a soft bag, with makes transportation very comfortable and the internal padding contributes to offer additional protection to pedals.
I just found only one improvable aspect: brakets for securing power suppliers must be purchased separately and most of times the device must be secured with additional plastic straps supplied with the pedalborad.
I would recommend the manufacturer to develop an universal adjustable braketing system (very easy) to make it perfect
Great pedalboard, lightweight and sturdy
This is the pedalboard I was looking for: big enough to host my TC VoiceLive 3 and some effects. This version has a very lightweight bag (the previous one was very very heavy...) but sturdy, I don't miss the external pocket.
Great pedalboard, poorly made soft case and low quality velcro
The pedalboard is sturdy and not so heavy by comparison with other, similarly sized, pedalboards. Arranging pedal around is quite easy.
But, two defects:
1. the bag is poorly made. After one week of use, the nut that retains the safety hook to the strap got distended and fell off. So the pedalboard fell off from my shoulder. I tightened the nut, but after one week the nut fell off again (with the pedalboard). So I have to change the strap. Other straps (e.g. Harley Benton for the similar model) are not made the same, the metallic part which holds the safety hook to the stap is in one bloc, so much sturdier. Also, the foam handle tends to get unsewn from the handle itself.
2. Minor, but still an issue, the velcro stays well in place on the pedalboard, but not under pedals. Most of the time, the glue is not strong enough to resist a couple of un-fastening. As a result, the velcro (supposedly glued to the pedal) stays fasten to the pedalboard.
Really mixed feelings.
Very difficult to use
Can no access software?
Yes, but...
The new line of Pedaltrains are unquestionably an upgrade from previous line. Lightweight, spacious, resistant.
But the lack of brackets, the lack of the usual extra pocket is a major downfall.
The strap placement is also really bad, comparing to their older relatives (had the PT 2)
Steady pedalboard
everything is really good, just the bag it could be just a little more steady, besides that, great pedalboard, 10-12 pedals easy!
own expirience
This pedalboard is my favourite choice of pedal desks. It's very light and very comfortable for handling all your stuff. The new series became a little bit different construction. Larger number of lines gives the ability to locate more pedals in a different ways. It's also able to setup some small little pedal such as Polytune Mini for example. Construction made comfortable for locating power supply in the middle and wherever you want on the bottom, which is very usefull for power-plugging your pedals. Soft case and straps are also very comfotable to transport it. You can hang it on your shoulder and take a couple guitars in your hands. That's a simple funny thing, but for me it's very helpfull, as I don't have to went twice to my car before soundcheck or gig. It also very pleasent that all accessories comes inside. Velcro tape and carpet for it. Recommend it without any doubts for all guitar pedal maniacs. Couldn't find any negatives for me.
Uncomfortablty Numb
The board is great. It is big enough to fit a lot of pedals and no cables and wires are visible because they can be mounted on the bottom side, thus making your rig very sexy.
It has two cons though:
1) In order for the switches of the pedals in the front to be foot accessible, you have to buy the PBK, PB1 etc. The cost of these is quite high for the purpose they serve. Moreover, once you have them installed, the board can no longer fit in the gigbag, and you have to buy or build another case.
2) No pockets for cables and power supply adaptors. You have to carry an extra bag/case for them
Fantastic pedalboard!
This is a great pedalboard made by the best manufacturer of pedalboards on the market right now! I like the Novo range as the pedalboard bars are closer together so your pedals get better connection to the board. There is plenty of space on the board for the semi pro/professional musician but it still feels reasonably portable and not quite as huge and OTT as the Pedaltrain Classic Pro. I have installed a Powertrain 1250 power supply underneath (which was fiddly and required drilling holes), but now all looks neat and tidy. I am running a Carl Martin Octaswitch 2 along with 9 other pedals, and there was plenty of room. The new improved soft case gives better protection than the previous version and is fairly lightweight (which was why I bought this rather than the hardcase version). Overall a great purchase!
