Destroys phase of stereo signal (especially bas)

There is big problem with different phase for bass on left and right channel!!

If you set on Your DAC panorama 100% to left or right - music played on one speaker is loud and full of bass - everything sounds OK.

But if you play both channels (panorama in middle) - music is much more quiet and there is missing bass.. It looks like left and right channel is canceling each other..

I checked cables.. Everything OK..

I put in place of Presonus station my older Big Knob passive - the same cables & speakers & placement - everything is OK..

Exactly what I need - great!

I have two sets of monitor speakers, plus a headphone amp for recording.

In Presonus Studio One 6 you need, for recording, to use output 3 and 4 for the special "cue" mix, to minimise latency. The Station is perfect for the needed switching. If you want your "cue" mix on the main speakers (in case of instruments needing no microphone), you just switch the main input to "ST2" and you get the "cue" mix. I can recommend using two different speakers (Speakers A and B): one very good, strong pair of speakers (like my Adam Audio) for super sound - and one "every day" speaker pair like my Presonus Eris 4.5. They are less tiring to listen to. For "Speakers C" I could imagine Auratones or similar, to check the mix.

In addition, the Station V2 has headphone sockets that I can switch between "main" and "cue". The headphone sound is very powerful and cristal clear.

Later on I can comment on the aspects of more long term use.

this just works for me

I have 2 pairs of studio monitors, 1 pair of HiFi speakers and a pair of live active monitors.

I have my studio computers, a lap top (with mostly audio progs on it) and my smart phone, all the time in my studio.

Now I am able to control all of the above, with just a press on the right button. It simplified my studio life so much. First I was wondering "do I really need this, or I just wanna be more fancy" . Well also being fancy is cool, but the truth is, now my workflow and switching between all of this connections is soo much better! And I also run at least 2 or 3 headphones, which are connected all the time and just turn the right knob, and I m listening through whatever I want. or just sending signal to the headphones behind the drum kit, easily.

I think this is a great product for the price if you are like me, sending signals from many different sources, and also listening with many different combinations. It just does the job !

Exclellent

Nice device, does what it should.

You can switch between headphones and speakers easily, muting the other part.

I also reconnected my PC via S/PDIF cable instead of analog (via mixer), and despite noises, the sound quality improved on lower notes (the frequencies became more readable).

Best companion for your monitoring!

Amazing product! It is a marvelous piece of hardware. Compact with full control on the tip of your fingers. You can hook up to 3 three pair of speakers or use it just with 2 and the last one leave it for a subwofer. It supports 3 streams with spdif capabilities and aux. Well build, relatively heavy - robust plastic and metal plates. Perfect buttons and knobs. Do not forget the talk option with in build microphone, 4 headphones inputs. Presonus Monitor Station V2 has everything you are searching for, and can beat with ease almost every one of those overpriced products. It sits great on the desk without consuming extra space.

I can't find any cons for it!

Definitely it is becoming to be the heart of our studio!

Perfect tool for the money

Simply does what it says and looks great.

I changed from another product recently to this and I am super happy with yet another great product and the quality is really good. I also hear no change of sound running through the unit and recommend this to anyone looking for a simple to use pro looking unit for multiple monitors. Its also great to have the built in talk back mic and headphone outs as well, makes life easy!

A surprise considerign for the price

The Presonus Monitor Station V2 is a solid unit.

I record a lot of voice overs and the occasional instrument and singer. I also mix a lot of music, TV shows and commercials. One day I'll buy the Dangerous Audio Monitor St but for now that cost is not in the budget, in the meantime I desperately need a talk back system and monitor controller. The Presonus Monitor Station V2 is relatively inexpensive, which is what I was expecting when I ordered it, a cheap monitor controller. But the when the V2 arrived it surprised me, it doesn't look or sound cheap, it is well built and functions great surpassing my expectations. There is only one minor con in my opinion, no input for a footswitch for the talkback. I am however extremely satisfied for the price.

Well...this is super useful.

Cannot be more satisfied.

- Build:

Very sturdy metal enclosure, is a studio grade piece of equipment. On the compact side which is very welcome.

The buttons and knobs are solid....knobs give a bit of a play as you rock them but found out this is normal (every single knob in my gear have that)

Good power supply. (At least for EU), the one that came with the unit is rectangular and more solid than the ones on videos I've seen.

- Sound:

Pristine IN/OUTS either through analog or digital. I've tried both and finally settled with SPDIF input. Both are super clean, no coloration or extra noise (at all)....just use balanced plugs (no regular mono)

- Usability:

I needed this to be able to have everything in front without having to reach to tweak my interface's volume all the time.

Also to be able to record and monitor at the same time using 2 or more headphones and the talkback button is also really useful.

Overall a great product. A bit on the pricey side though.

Nice but

Some nice features. But you can not select no input for headphone. On monitor there is a mute so the need is not that big there. It also is annoying that there is no headphone output on the front, or back. They are on the top. And that create a cable mess. And it also feels a bit quick and dirty since you can not have analog aux and spdif at the same time. And it would be nice with more imputs. I use aux/spidif for my mobile. ST1 is my main DAW. And on ST2 there is a analog mixer with headphone mix from my daw. Other computers like the linux for internet things and my secondary mac, a PS3 and some times my mac book. This a great product but I think I would like to have it non existing big brother. The rack central station is not a option. It is swtich, this is a mixer.

Great device

I've been trying out many monitor controllers and I every case there was something missing or something was right.

This new edition from PRESONUS has everything you need and more.

I used to own the former version of the monitor station, but this one is much cleaner and transparent. You won't have any interleakage between sources or speaker output,

Well done PRESONUS!
