Reloop RP 7000 MK2

I played my first party on Technics turntables in 2002 and since then I have played on handy many turntables. A few years ago I decided to go back to vinyl and mixing. I have tried many OEM turntables and these RELOOPs are absolutely phenomenal. The feel of playing is similar to the technics, although I think that the reloop surpasses them even more. They are built as if they were armored. Definitely the best choice in terms of price/quality and the best choice among super OEMs. It's nice that the appearance also refers to the classic mk2 technics turntables. The tracking and beatmatching is phenomenal. Pitch holds tempo perfectly.

I have these turntables set up with the numark scratch mixer and it's running through serato . These turntables are imo on par with the 1210 technics which I have owned 3 pairs over the years . These turntables mix really well and hold the mix for 3 to 4 mins with a little touch to keep to mix going without klanging and banging. These turntables work brilliant run through serato and you can use the sync which works great if youre a beginner. I'm using the numark scratch mixer and it's running through a laptop with 8gb ram i7chip 500gb ssd and handles fantastic. The whole set up together is so much fun .

Audio-Technica AT-LP120XBT USB Black

These ATs are such excellent machines and great value. If you are looking for a very good deck but not audiophile, (what would you be looking here for?), this is top quality and an appropriate price. If you are looking to pay less than this than you are not serious and you'll get what you pay for. The arm, the cartridge, the stylus and direct drive are as good as most will ever need. Setup and handling are both easy and smooth. My son has this model and I have the previous. You don't need to look further than this for years of happy vinyling!

I bought an AT-LP120-USBHC (from a different vendor) that I had to return. Mainly because the motor made a mechanical noise that was just too loud (and after some research it seemed to be a rather common issue with that model). This model (LP140XP) is silent. And it makes a number of other little improvements over the LP120 that together makes this model far better. The biggest one is the rubber damped platter. Well worth the extra cost! EDIT: there's some hum from the (I guess) transformator. Not very loud and can't hear it while playing records. But still annoying so downgraded my rating a bit... Not sure if it's worth returning it for or not yet...

Numark PT-01 Scratch

Numark PT-01 Scratch

Based on 3 reviews

The Numark PT-01 Scratch is a sturdy but very portable record player with a crossfader switch for scratching. It can play 12" records but for scratching I would recommend 7" vinyls. I wish it had more integrated functions for dvs, because it can be connected to your phone via usb using camera kit connector or otg adapter to control apps such as Edjing Mix. To control the app I use 7" serato timecode vinyls which are perfect for the PT-01 Scratch. It would be great if it was possible to route audio from your digital device back through the crossfader so it would become more portable as a dvs controller. Now I have to use an external crossfader to cut the audio from my phone. The tonearm is a bit light and has to be modded to get better needle pressure. Also the needle is the...

Audio-Technica AT-LP140XP Silver

EDIT: after one year the arm lift failed. The lifter dampening design is trash. Basically you have to add silicone oil yearly, it just leaks into the chassis by design. Just installed this as a living room hifi player. It's a pretty good turntable! Most importantly there is no mechanical motor rumble, that was a problem with the previous gen 120 model. There is a VERY QUIET audible hum when the turntable is on, if you put your ear to the deck, but as far as I can tell it doesn't transfer into the needle and into the audio channel. I'm listening at a moderate level using Genelec 8030A:s and don't hear the hum between tracks. Put my ear to the speaker, no hum, just normal vinyl noise, when spinning and needle is on record. Anti-skate is there, seems a bit aggressive since it kept...

American Audio TTD 2400 USB MKII

American Audio TTD 2400 USB MKII

Based on 14 reviews

The Turntable American Audio TTD 2400 USB is a really decent product, if you just have to pay attention to the price or you only want to see if the hobby of DJ or mixing suits you. The overall quality is also neat, so that one can speak of a good quality too. The sound quality is decent, although it could be a bit clearer. The sound comes short to more expensive turntables. There are no special features, so there is nothing special to say. As a disadvantage that lack of cover has to be mentioned. So I would urgently recommend to buy a proper cover for it.
