Hai presente quando tutti i distorsori bellissimi che hai non vanno come dovrebbero? Quando il suono è troppo impastato, troppo zanzaroso, oppure non ha il guadagno giusto? Ecco, allora potrebbe essere che questo pedale sia proprio quello giusto per te! Il RAT ha plasmato il suono Grunge e Rock. Addirittura Gilmour l'ha usato ampiamente! Non è un pedale standard, non reagisce in modo standard, è spartano e bisogna capire come funziona col tuo ampli. Ci puoi ottenere un pulito "sporco" che adoro, un crunch un po' acido oppure lo puoi usare come boost per l'ampli nei distorti. Se lo attivi con il Wah nei soli è favoloso. Lo hanno usato tantissimi artisti per la sua capacità di cambiare e personalizzare il suono a seconda di quello che desideri. Anche Nirvana, Metallica, Muse, John Scofield, Robert Fripp e tanti altri. Occhio: quelle tre manopoline cambiano il suono e di molto, non ci sono regole, non esiste giusto o sbagliato, ma bisogna suonare, ascoltare e capire per trovare il suono che cerchi. Quindi, all'inizio devi avere un po' di pazienza e soprattutto ricordati che il suo vero punto di forza è il risultato sonoro della tua chitarra IN GRUPPO.

Perfect distortion intended for all purpose use. I like the simplicity of knobs which when dialed change the sound a lot so they are also very versatile. Shape of the pedal is not optimal.

Great default dirtbox

This is a great sounding dirtbox that has a very huge dynamic range and can be used for virtually any application. The EQ settings are very limited, so an EQ pedal is recommended and the housing is really big and unwieldy. Other than that it's great.
