Hai presente quando tutti i distorsori bellissimi che hai non vanno come dovrebbero? Quando il suono è troppo impastato, troppo zanzaroso, oppure non ha il guadagno giusto? Ecco, allora potrebbe essere che questo pedale sia proprio quello giusto per te! Il RAT ha plasmato il suono Grunge e Rock. Addirittura Gilmour l'ha usato ampiamente! Non è un pedale standard, non reagisce in modo standard, è spartano e bisogna capire come funziona col tuo ampli. Ci puoi ottenere un pulito "sporco" che adoro, un crunch un po' acido oppure lo puoi usare come boost per l'ampli nei distorti. Se lo attivi con il Wah nei soli è favoloso. Lo hanno usato tantissimi artisti per la sua capacità di cambiare e personalizzare il suono a seconda di quello che desideri. Anche Nirvana, Metallica, Muse, John Scofield, Robert Fripp e tanti altri. Occhio: quelle tre manopoline cambiano il suono e di molto, non ci sono regole, non esiste giusto o sbagliato, ma bisogna suonare, ascoltare e capire per trovare il suono che cerchi. Quindi, all'inizio devi avere un po' di pazienza e soprattutto ricordati che il suo vero punto di forza è il risultato sonoro della tua chitarra IN GRUPPO.

A versatile pedal that I love :) Fits nearly very genre of music

Perfect distortion intended for all purpose use. I like the simplicity of knobs which when dialed change the sound a lot so they are also very versatile. Shape of the pedal is not optimal.

Great default dirtbox

This is a great sounding dirtbox that has a very huge dynamic range and can be used for virtually any application. The EQ settings are very limited, so an EQ pedal is recommended and the housing is really big and unwieldy. Other than that it's great.

rat + vox = love on the first sight

i love my vox ac15cc greenback amp and with the rat i am now getting all the sounds i ever wanted, the usual vox pallete and then i can stomp on the rat and go even further. For reference i play a nice copy of Les Paul Standard with p90s.

Really, I cannot recommend this combination enough.

The rat does color the sound differently based on the amount of distortion, but at my own surprise i like it. I can always tune the final sound on vox directly.

I am not a fan of many knobs and tuning either but this setup is for me very intuitive and quick to navigate. At the end i play only with volume knobs on the guitar. It is plug and play rig now. If you have a vox, the rat should be definitelly at least tried with it. Love it.

Great pedal

As a guitarist playing for about 3 years ive been content with the distortion that my Boss katana gives me, but recently ive been trying to get into using pedals and i chose the Rat. absolutely amazing pedal, it has great tones and is supper versatile, you can use it as a fuzz, distortion or overdrive. Feels really well put together so im very happy with the pedal, its a bit pricey but well worth it in my opinion.

Perfect distortion pedal

This is a classic pedal. It can be set from dirty bluesy, slight tube break wibe to fuzzy, high gain doomy brutality and everything in between. It is quality built with iconic design. A must have on any pedalboard.

Rat disturstion

Brought RAT to simulate punk floyd guitar solo sound in dark side of the moon album, it really makes me full in love with it, specially when i used compression after it, i got the level of joy i expect.

Noisy but arctic monkeys

Hey, not much to say - if you want to sound like the arctic monkeys - this is the pedal. However it is noisy when not played, so you have to rock )

Proco Rqt

Very robust and gives you all the distortion you need for guitar and bass.

Highly recomended.
