True Reference 2.1 Monitor System
With the matched primary monitors, the combo is no compromise monitoring. I rarely turn the sub up beyond 2, even for Hip-Hop and Rap styles. This system could be used easily for smaller room live performances. The sub's integration with the primaries is easily room-tuned.
Precise sub
The sub does not provide the deepest of bass depths, but it's precise. It's not rumbling or adding any unwanted overtones/sounds. I've placed the sub in most efficent place in 45sq meter room and it delivers good enough bass throughout all the room and it still has enoguh "headroom" left over (it's not maxed out).
In comparison with much lover Fostex 6" sub (delivers from ~20hz), this baby has more power thanks to it's 10" speaker. It can produce subtle and heartwarming bass in low volumes and it can give a good old punch when it's cranked up. The very good thing about it is that it's not "falling appart" (soundwise) and it's not producing unwanted noises (both in low and high volumes).
In comparison with Klipsch 12 inch-er (forgot the exact model, but the price is ~400 green ones), Klipsch goes way deeper through the unholy gates of bass underworld that I feel is missing in this Prodipe sub. But it's not the most important thing to have.
I preffer having a sub wih accurate and clean sound than the deepest of deep bass "x-ploders" that rumblles with overtones and unfocuesd sounds from the gates of Valhalla.
For home use (movies, music etc.) and begineer studio - 4 out of 5.
Absolutely perfect
This things is brilliant, also very very sturdy/heavy. proper crosser frequency selection, this thing is majorly powerful but also can be very subtle and clear for mixing - if you just need a tiny bump in the low-lows without going crazy with it. It is very punchy and clear, there is also NO mains hum at all, a problem I had with a previous sub that I had to return. I highly recommend this Sub
