My new Favourite strings.

I love the warmth of pure nickel strings and these are the best I have ever used. The Price is the icing on the cake!

Just Right

Nothing wrong with these, tension is right, tone is just right, not too dark nor too bright. The only outstanding thing is consistency in quality.

My new favorite

I have a nickel allergy but love the sound of nickel strings the best. I've recently been testing what strings I can play without getting an allergic reaction. I've found that pure nickel wound strings do not irritate my skin anywhere near as much as the nickel plated versions.

The perfect strings for me

I've been playing these for a few years now. They are great quality! Never had a bad string out of the pack (contrary to better known brands that I've used in the past).

I also really like the tone of these pure nickels. They are a bit less agressive and as a result sound very well balanced. The best part about that, for me, is that there's not such a big difference in the tone between the first day that you put them on and the tone after two weeks of playing them (what I think is much more the case when you use nickel-plated strings).

And all that for a very good price. Thank you Pyramid!

Super!

Exactly how they advertise them in the product description. I was amazed how easy they feel to play.

I started using these instead of D'addario 010's after first having used Pyramids round core pure nickel strings on some vintage guitars. A brighter sound and higher tension than the round core strings, I prefer these on humbucker guitars and my 'all round' guitars, whereas I prefer the round cores on vintage (-style) Fenders.

Compared to regular D'addario's these are somewhat similar but more consistent IMHO and slightly higher tension and with a stronger attack.

They work fine

I've put these on several guitars and have no complaint...and they seem to last on my guitars as well as more expensive strings.

Enough said...

Reliable, affordable & great quality

I run a small website in the UK and I get through probably 100 sets of strings a year. I have been buying Pyramid strings for around 7 or 8 years now & I find them utterly reliable. I also play in a band & to date have only had one string break during a gig. I like that they are individually wrapped. They have a bright clear sound & are extremely durable

Sturdy, but Disappointing Sound

I tried in the past the Pyramid Extra Light set (008-038) and I was very happily surprised, as they had great tone and they were easy to play.

With this set, the Medium (010-046), I expected strings that would be tough, harder to play (i.e. bend), but with better tonality. Unfortunately, I was disappointed.

They do feel sturdy, keeping the tuning well, and they're of course harder to bend, being thicker. But sacrificing ease of play for sound quality was not worth it, because, quite simply, the sound is disappointing. At best, they're exactly the same as the Extra Light set. But I'd even say they're worse, with duller sound and disappointing hue.

They're not unplayable, of course, but I just don't see the point. Next time I'll prefer the Extra Light set again, which is an awesome bang for the buck.

Decent but should be packaged better

I was using these strings for gigging and busking for about a year so I feel I can judge them fairly now. They don't start out too bright and don't darken that much either which I appreciate. Obviously the price is on point too. The downfall is that the paper only packaging doesn't make for the best long term storage. I tend to buy strings in bulk and I've had a few rusty strings come of these. Anyways that's the only major downside, they sound good to me and for that price just get a set and see for yourself.

Great stings!

For many years I used "nickel wound" strings of bigger and more know manufacturers from USA mostly.

Since I like exploring, I tested Pyramid strings and I'm stunned!

I must point out that those are of PURE NICKEL wound, and not NICKEL wound. I like pure nickel wound since guitar gets much more alive and resonant in mid and high range, maintaining (or getting) a strong bass response when playing unplugged. Plugged in it is like the nicest poem.

Thru my guitar playing, setting years (13+) I used a wast assortment of different strings manufacturers and types. Since well I like exploring new things and not settling on "if it works its fine and you should leave it alone".

Pyramid are for quality and price the top notch of strings you can get! Also worth mentioning they are MADE IN GERMANY!

The best bargain out there!

These strings are bloody great, I love the feel of them, very quick. They also have a great vintage tone, with slightly less scratchy highs. They seem to last reeeeally well too, can't recommend enough. Can't even really think of any cons, maybe if you want a supper bright string then this might not be it. But they are awesome!

Best Price/Quality ratio

I always order these in big bulks to have something reliable laying around. Good quality strings with a good sound that lasts quite long. Definitely recommend.

My main strings

10-46 Pyramids are the strings I use the most, mainly on my Strat (standard tuning). I find the sound is well balanced, plenty of bottom end and no harsh treble yet still good clarity and definition.

Great for blues/rock stuff.

Hehe, gud affordable strings that save you money for more hashish!

Used this for an open tuning on a strat to play arabic jazz fusion, sound great are slick on the fingers and for that price i can still have some money to buy myself nice hashish after playing,

Toke up and play pyramid strings!

Surely normal strings

Doing their job well. Feels harder than usual nickel, which I think is only good. You can hold a couple of sets just in case, they won't let you down.

good strong tone

Has a very balanced sound without wobbling frequencies .

Good value for the money ,last long.

Very balanced feeling between chord strumming and solo.

In studio environment can handle 5-7 songs without noticeable tone loss.
