A great tone and touch for a short time

The strings make a beautiful sound on my guitar. I like it a lot, but it doesn't keep that sound I like for a long time. The new sound of the strings has a very short lifespan. With the Seagull S6 Folk Cedar, it's beautiful. It's very suitable for playing recordings. For daily use you'll need 3 or 4 sets a month.

Adequate for some instances

I suppose this could be useful for acoustic players with guitars equipped with soundhole magnetic pickups.

Acoustically they sound between acoustic and electric strings and the quality is typical of Pyramid strings, not very consistent and average at best.

In the end, I think these strings would only suit players with magnetic pickup acoustic guitars, just from lack of alternatives.

Nice strings for archtop

Good sound but unfortunately the G string failed intonation with my bridge, replaced with .18 plain string, not optimal but in tune.

Great and versatile strings

I first bought this set because of the type of music it is made for. I also prefer this gauge and in my opinion it's suitable for country and blues too.

These are good strings

I use these strings as a backup to Argentines. They are good but not as good in my opinion. I use them on my Gitane guitar for Gypsy Jazz and they do the job. Not quite as warm as the above mentioned strings however.

Gypsy Jazz Twang

Gives that django sound that gypsy jazz plays strive for.

They're not quite as good as Argentines but there's not much in it.

They are however, half the price of a pack of Argentines, so in my opinion worthwhile, especially if you change your strings often.

Gypsy Jazz tone on a budget

I've used Savarez Argentines, the D'Addario GJ strings and these.

The Pyramid strings sound very good. Not quite as 'throaty' as Argentines, but still fairly good. Much better than D'Addario. Because they are also much cheaper, these are now my go-to GJ strings.

One thing I've noticed is that they tend to wear out much quicker than electric guitar or bass strings. However, this also occurs with other brands of Gypsy Jazz string. Also you can get 3 packs of these for the price of 1 set of Argentines, so it's not an issue.

In summary: Great strings, I will be buying more.
