Brilliant

We have connected the jack output from one of our mixer's Aux to this DI box, and then used the xlr output from the DI box to connect to a stage monitor. And it works great! I have no phantom power available, and don't want the hassle of needing a 9v battery. Therefore this passive DI box has been the perfect product, and the sound quality is superb.

Just perfect

I was a little hesitant spending so much on a DI but the build and features are second to none.

After watching Mylarmelodies horror story about his live gig without a DI I followed his recommendation and got the Pro D2.

I have already used them for a modular synth gig in Dublin, Ireland. I went stereo out from my Eurorack modular to my RNC to the Pro D2 and straight to front of house.

There were no impedance or ground hum issues and this will be my set-up going forward. Highly recommended.

Pros -

Stereo.

Built Like a Tank (DONT drop this on your foot!)

I know it sounds trite - but it just works and works wonderfully.

Cons -

I hesitated spending so much on something that does almost nothing (but one thing) - but that thing it does is vital to me and it does it wonderfully. I wouldnt even know it was there (apart from the weight! But thats a side effect of the wonderful build quality!)

If you are considering this and can afford it - dont hesitate.

Not much bad to say about this product at all. All metal construction. Useful ground lift and input pad options. Nice foam pad so it doesn't get scratched up sitting on the stage or vibrate off a bass amp. :)

Cool no noise coming from speakers, clear sound!!!!

I had before a lot of noise on my sound installation, just connected piano through Radial Engineering Pro D2 all the noise gone, good solution not only for small distance but also for long distance, I use 30 meter far from my piano to mixer, I am very satisfied with high quality no noise clear sound with Radial Pro D2. Thanks!!!

Solid sturdy and easy to use DI.

Simple stereo DI that is utterly bomb proof. I use this two send two separate channels (Electric Bass and Moog) from my pedal board to the engineer at FoH. I use the through outputs to send both lines to a palmer duetto summing mixer and that goes to my amp. Ground lift alleviates any hum. Just preferred to have the two channels in the one box. This does everything I need and is built to last - I couldnt recommend it highly enough!

Awesome for Keys

Fantastic stereo DI with awesome sound quality. My go-to Keyboard DI now. Incredibly durable and rugged box that I believe could be dropped out a 3 storey building and still b fully functional. My only small gripe is the -15dB pad push buttons - there's one for each side and it is a little easier than it should be if this DI was on the stage floor to kick in or out the pad buttons on one side...

Great passive stereo DI

Seven years of use without any problem, rock solid DI box, ideal for keyboards and electronic instruments in general. Being passive, is not highly recommended for acoustic guitars or bass, as it requires higher gain settings at the desk and a subsequent worse signal-to-noise ratio, but I've used it more than once with said acoustic instruments with OK results when my active DI's were used elsewhere. A polarity reverse switch or button would make it perfect for its purposes.

Rock Solid DI, Well Built

I use this for recording stereo keyboards on location at live shows and at home and it works great. There's not much more to say. The foam bottom helps keep the DI secure on the floor or wherever you put it. Maybe expensive but a lifetime purchase so worth every penny in the long run.

Great keyboard di box

I use this with my stage2 and it's great, built like a tank with simple controls (I don't use the pad or ground lift) if I had a keyboard amp then having the loop through is a useful feature.

Very heavy which is reassuring! Sounds far better than the behringer boxes I replaced!

If you have invested in a quality keyboard/piano then do yourself a favour and get a great di box for stage/live use.

My most important piece of equipment

This is an exceptional DI box. I play Guitar and Keys in a band, and use one channel of each on this box.

It's built like a tank, and the sound quality is exceptional.

Highly recommended for non-passive signals.

Love it for Keyboard

This DI was bought as replacement for Cordial CES02, and how it did replace it!!!

Nice crispy undistortet sound. I love Radial, for giving big fat transformers even to cheaper line products.

The frequency response is flat and sound exactly precise as the intrument.

In urgent cases I do use it for two guitars (ech channel separately) and it works great.

Build like a tank. You can throw it on your enemy and play a gig with it afterwards.

Not good for pasive guiars or bases.

Allaround best choice in this price category.

I'm using this as the final stage for my Chapman Stick pedalboard.

Radial Engineering was the first name on my list for a trustworthy and great sounding DI!

Sturdy DI.

The Radial Engineering Pro D2 is a really nice box. Very solid build with really nice switches and connectors. The connectors are much better quality than you'll see on cheaper equivalents.

The audio quality is very good. I've used this on all your standard DI instruments in the studio now and it's not let me down yet.

2 channels in one box is nice and neat, and there are no issues with crosstalk etc.

My only issue is that it's not as pretty as some of the other Radial boxes, but other than that, this is a great product from a trusted company - you can't go far wrong.

Great little di box

I bought this for a recording session as my bass has a stereo output. This worked superbly. It is extremely quiet in use and seemed to translate my tone very well. The pads on the input channels came in great use when I was using my active bass and controlled the levels without perceivable coloration to the tone.

Seems very robust and durable.

At this kind of price I expect the jacks to be metal instead of plastic.

Best DI of its class

This is by far the best passive Di of its class, very good quality, not too expensive, no cheap thought, but quality transformers and components aren't cheap. The best passive Di without Jensen transformers and at a accessible price.

Great DI

Robust and great sounding! Perfect for keyboards and other stereo-instruments so you dont have to carry araound two boxes.

Probably the best DI you can buy

The best DI boxes on the market, would never use any others now.

Solid build and solid sound quality. Easy to use and very simple, no fiddly bits and just does the job.

The stereo (2 channel) D2 is well worth the extra few pounds as you will always find a use for more DI channels. It can be used for keyboards, stereo inputs such as computers, Dj's or music playback. Having two in one box saves handling and hunting about for the second.

Being passive it requires no phantom power but the sound quality does not suffer and there is plenty of headroom available.

We have six Radial Di's and have never had a problem with these. . .
