Practice in silence

If you are a drummer who wants to practice and don't want to produce any sound not to annoy your flatmates, family and neighbours, look no further. This mesh head is amazing, I've been practicing almost everyday for a couple of months with this head and its just amazing.

I use this head with my snare drum. I also release the snare wires to get even quieter.

I took one star as I expected the same feel (stick dynamics) as a normal head but that's not 100% the case. Don't expect an identical stick rebound or general stick behaviour as you would expect from a normal head

Very nice and quiet sound perfect for home or small places gigs :)

Brilliant

Was surprised how much tone can be gotten out of these, you can really make your toms quiet without sacrificing your musicality. I would highly recommend these heads.

A good choice for experiments on converting acoustic drums into electronic

These are my first mesh heads I'm dealing with. I needed mesh heads to convert acoustic drums into electronic. It's quiet enough. The drums will be even quieter if you muffle resonant drum head with some soft material inside the drum shell. This is a 1-ply mesh head, and maybe that's why the rebound is stronger than the real drum head makes. On the one hand, it is good, because it develops your control over the sticks. On the other hand, the mesh head vibrates unnecessarily so the accuracy of the trigger is getting reduced. You have to mess with the settings of the drum module. This is mainly about the snare drum.

Good

These are really worth buying if you want long, undisturbed practice sessions without the issue of annoying neighbours or family. Currently using this head for my snare on my practice kit. Great response but would say there a tiny bit more bouncy than a real snare but not too much to be noticeable in the long run.
