Metal snare god

My go to head for metal snares, especially for concert versions, solos or for a high snare on drumset. When tuned correctly has a great sound, especially with some puresound wires.

some told me ...

that remo fell asleep and other makers are far ahead... I dont agree this is head with little overtones that dampens high frequency responce from metal snares and brings nice and bodied sound from even low tunnings which I like.

Loved it

Thought I would try this for a more 'traditional' tone. It's got tons of attack and 'pang' and really brings out the overtones in my snare (a 14 x 5.5 Birdseye Maple Black Panther).

Looks great too and has been used for a good few months with no signs of it wearing more than the usual discoloration.

Wow!!!

Incredible sounding heads: I mounted them on my LP timbales and WOW!!!, Tito just entered in the studio! These heads produce a wonderful fundamental sound with warm overtones. I also mounted one on a Pearl Philharmonic 14x5 maple concert snare drum and the feeling and sound is VEEEERY similar to that of a goat skin head.

I warmly recommend this heads to whoever loves a dark, fat, vintage sound.

Great Mr. Remo, you did it again.

Ideal for brushes

My drummer added this to my order a while back. I'm no drummer but I have to say that his snare tone improved significantly once he'd fitted this. The rough surface works especially well with brushes too.

Remo Skyntone 14" snare

Im using this head on a Ludwig 14"x5.5" metal shell snare and I'm loving it. The head certainly does the job recommend by Remo, it takes some of the brightness out of the sound and warms it up. I also find it suitable for brushes. I've got it tuned up to A# but it still has a nice depth to it. Highly recommended.
