Good if you are looking for a dark sound
The sound is a bit darker than other heads at the cost of a more fine tuning because of the nature of this ebony drumhead.

This is one of the most responsive drum heads I have used and amazing power and tone from a 10" TOM and sound great at any tuning range and looks fantastic on my red glitter kit
Remo 10" Ambassador Ebony
Remo 10" Ambassador Ebony are good heads that can be used as a top or bottom head. I personally like to use them as a bottom resonant head with a pinstripe as the top head.
