Powerful

The Remo Powerstroke 3 Clear Bass drumhead is seriously awesome! It gives my drum a killer low-end punch and holds up like a champ. Totally recommended for anyone who wants that booming sound and durability for days.

I keep coming back to this one!

My go to bass drumhead! I have tried different types and brands but I keep coming back to this one. I currently use it on a Gretsch full maple kit. You can get a nice punchy attack with a great sound and it's easy to tune.

never disappointing

I use them on a 90s genista double kick kit , all birch . i use a felt strip a third the way across and a falam slam pad , front head is an evans eq3 . the kicks always feel and sound like they should . mine are tuned about 60 hz on the tune bot and 75 on front .

The Best

One of the best bass drum head you can get for a 22" bass drum. It is a best seller for a reason. It's punchy, it has good attack because of the clear finish, and it has the low end. I tried many more bass drumheads, but this one is absolutely the best, it fits in music mixes more than any other brand's heads in my opinion.

Remo is best. I use this Remo 22 inchPowerstroke 3 Clear Bass clear drum heads on my old Tama RockStar PRO made in Japan 22 "Kick. Open sound with lots of atack and sustain. Its easy to control. Last long head , Remo is the best manufacturers of drum heads.

Best Kick Drumhead

I use it on my 40 years old Tama Superstar 22" kick and it sound amazing!!!

Great sound in room and much better sound on PA. It sits great in mix without using EQ and Compressor, even if you use only RAW microphone signal. I Think this is one of drumhead classics and if you buy it, you cant go wrong!

Excellent punch and attack, and a real phat bottom end. Used in conjunction with an Evans resonant and traditional damping...ie an old pillow.

Been using these for years now and they are the best bass drum head in my opinion and sound good on every bass drum I have ever had.

Nice sound

Whenever we need any kit, we always stock up on spares.

How it can be cheaper to ship a drum skin from Germany than it is to buy them in the UK we;ll never know but they always seem cheaper & as our drummer loves the sound of Remo, it's a no brainer. We now always carry a spare as had the nightmare of a bass skin splitting for the first time with no spare! Never happened before in 30 years of playing and we don't want to be caught with it happening again.

Remo kick drum

I am very pleased with the sound. It has made a big difference to my kit. Good resonance but not boomy.

Good batter kick head

Very well built, with a controlled tone. Just a great drum head as with most of the Remo heads on offer here. Mine came with a falam slam which was a really nice touch!

A great drumhead for all genres.

Provides a nice thud and a controlled feel. Works great for all styles of music, highly recommended to anyone!

Great skin.

This a great skin for playing live and for recording. There is a fantastic attack and the drum rings out very nicely. It was my first time buying the powerstroke and I think I will be sticking with this skin in the future. Great sounding skin.

Remo Powerstroke 3 bass head

The Powerstroke 3 is a classic design that broadly fits in line with the pinstripe range of tom heads; designed to offer some control to give a more powerful fundamental tone without dampening the resonance too much. It comes with a small adhesive kick pad that you stick on the drum where the beater hits to add some high end click that comes in very handy in a band mix.

This makes it a solid choice for many styles of drumming up to hard rock, although fast double bass players may find it lacking in definition a little. It definitely responds well to tuning in that you can get a wide range of sounds from it if you're prepared to put the effort in.

I have taken a star off quality because I've had a few of these in the past and found a couple of them to be a little more dead sounding than the others - it's possible the factory had some QC issues a few years ago, but I don't have a large enough sample to be sure of that.

Overall though, this is my favourite general purpose kick head, especially with a kick pad to add some definition.
